Russian website claiming free Beam NG download

I was looking at mods on YouTube and I found a certain mod that claimed to be the t75 and it had a link in the description that link brought me to a website (Russian as usual) but it was claiming to have free Beam NG full game downloads there probably isn't anything you can do and this is my first post ever so I don't know if I should post links to it or what.

Old news a hundred times over.

 

No point in posting about this, many people on the forum are aware of this issue but are unable to to anything due to websites falling out of reach of copyright laws and other things (A lot of sites are up about sharing mods that are not legitimate, it takes time and money to carry through a lawsuit, once one site goes down another pops up etc). Also, you can't stop people from pirating, you can make it harder for them, but inevitably it's gonna happen. The thing that really annoys me is that people who own BeamNG but don't go on the forums regularly search in Google for 'BeamNG mods' and get flooded by all these sites such as the one you have mentioned; this then gives people the impression that BeamNG isn't very good due to how un-realistic the mods are. Now that BeamNG will be released on Steam (officially for all to buy and download some time in the future) awareness of the game and mods (that are legit) will surface and help people support the game and get the most out of BeamNG.

edit the first post and take that link down, Ill say it nicely, but others will call you an arse-hat or something really rude. Just a friendly tip. And welcome to the forums, but ALSO make sure you kinda browse the forum pages and familiarize yourself with the very common topics (pirating, fire/explosions, car suggestion threads, typical game bugs etc etc)

 

Well - stuff always gets pirated. Just let them. You can't prevent it. If you take down the website it'll pop up somewhere else. Just look at it as free advertising - people interested in the game will quickly come here and buy it. As did I. (No, I didn't pirate it, but I kept watching Youtube videos of the game until I was convinced. Back in the days - decades ago - I would maybe have pirated it - and then bought it if it appealed to me).

Just edit the post and take out the link.

 

I already got those downloads removed from modsgaming.. Before I was even a dev.

I wonder if there's anything the devs can do to get this site to appear higher in the searches. I know the mods are in the locked section of the forum but maybe they can do something to direct searches to these forums instead of those garbage sites. I'll admit I pirated this game for a bit to see if I wanted to put money into it and after trying some of those "mods" I was convinced I had to buy it because I wanted some good mods. Plus it is hands down the game I am going to be most hyped for for a while.

 

I will admit that I did use some of the dreaded Russian mods for a bit.

I stopped using those mods when I found out that not only were many of them just plain bad mods but I also found out that the good mods on those sites were stolen from the forum! I deleted all of those mods and replaced them with the real versions from the forum after finding that out.

Okay, here's my opinion.

(After being yelled at from both sides)

I think that you should do research, (searching and finding a thread) then read the whole thing, then if that solves YOUR problem dont reply, but if it doesn't, reply and ask for help.

That bump is pretty annoying because he didn't need help, and it didn't contribute. he just said "Aw yiss ! Nice job drowsysam ! "

(that's what started the whole bump chain reaction)
