Yes i know its a wired idea, but it would add much more possibilities and realism to the game. Why does a wheel loader bring more realism to the game? If you've ever tried to load something onto a flatbed truck, you've probably noticed that you need the node grabber or the world editor, but thats very unrealistic and borring and especially in the future career mode that would be really stupid. And if there is a wheel loader in the game the scenarios and the freeroam game would have much more possibilities and would make much more fun, so if BeamNG wants to becoma a universal simulator thats super realistic it needs the vehicle. Scenarios that would become possible: Junkyard scenario: With your wheel loader you have to unload scrap cars from a truck and decide which car goes into the scrap press or can still be recycled. With walk mode you need to activate the scrap press and let the trucks in. Road maintenance scenario: After a storm the streets are devastated with fallen trees and other rubbish and you have to clean it with your wheel loader so that it is drivable again. Accident recovery scenario: After an accident, you have to recover the wrecked vehicles and load them onto the tow truck. Career Mode: I dont know how the dev team will build up career mode but i think the wheel loader could be an important role there. Pictures how it could look like: I would suggest that you look at an older model there as most of the cars in BeamNG are older. of course there has to be a fork for it too
I know it's not a wheel loader, but it sounds like just what you need for loading things onto a flatbed. https://www.beamng.com/resources/wolf-heavy-industries-medium-duty-forklift.13495/
Somewhere in the FarmingPack there's a medium wheel loader, god knows if it still works though... https://www.beamng.com/threads/cancelled-farming-pack-v6-0-1-0-23-fix-by-nublybubly.29159/ download on the first post on the first page
I believe the beam team has purposely strayed away from more complicated hydraulics setups, probably due to physics limitations/general buggyness. Take a look at MrCrash's crane on the MAN TGS. It's incredibly bouncy/and due to the extreme stiffness, and in heavier crashes it's prone to breaking physics. Though I do agree that this would certainly open up a whole new world in beam, as it currently lacks in heavy equipment.
