I don't think it should. You are absolutely right about the character haunches of the Bastion and their relation to the Moonhawk (I was among the first ones who pointed this out ever since the teaser came out on September 28th 2021) but I think they look great on the Bastion. Other than these good looking lines, I can't find any excessive lines on the body, the whole design looks simple and elegant to me. But then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My only gripes are about the absence of a sunroof and the creases of the taillights on their outer sides when looked at the back.
Exactly, it sets the stage perfectly for a bastion precursor vehicle to be built, likely with a moonhawk remaster since the two would play into each other nicely, and likely also feature a hefty amount of cross car parts compatability
Nah, in Greece we're dealing with worse stuff than that, honestly! --- Post updated --- Yep, the remastering of the Moonhawk can (possibly) expand the variety of the body styles - meaning there's a strong possibility that the Bastion has a predecessor lost somewhere in the time continuum and this makes perfect sense when we think of the actual bases of inspiration for the Moonhawk. Plus, sharing the same structure means the interchangeability of many parts (body panels, front and rear fascia clips, glass panes, interior parts, lights, bumpers, suspension components, powertrains, the fuel tank, even the ladder-type frame itself) is gonna be super easy!
exactly! it leads to the perfect chance for the developers to recreate the tograc/vivace type of part sharing but with the moonhawk/bastion i can only imagine it would come with a huge assortment of new muscle tuner style parts, it might even give us a modern moonhawk entry as well
Well IMO Bastion is one of the most Sexy cars in the game. Who dont love a Nice ol V8. Its a sexy old/new thing i love it. OT i think like last update. I think we will get. Super car. ( most likely ) Covet remaster. And maybe a Moonhawk remaster.
Both ETK 800 and k-series are lacking up to date content. Those should be the priority for car remasters --- Post updated --- BeamNG is lacking a nice luxury sedan and a nice “true” SUV --- Post updated --- Sorry for spamming the thread, but also a Florida map next to the beach would be good. Specifically Miami
The bastion is more like a muscle car. Similar to a Dodge Charger --- Post updated --- This is 10/10 luxury sedan lol
but the bastion has the 'luxe' config, surely it must mean it is a luxury car and definitely not just a tacky marketing ploy
I'm also thinking of something: you see, the counterparts of Bastion in real life are sister cars, one of them being a sedan and the other a coupe (charger, challenger) Bastion in its self is also a 4 door sedan. Going with dodge analogy and lining up with Moonhawk name, there theoretically can be a two door bastion that is called moonhawk, yet like cherriers they share a platform What do you think? I still think that bastion lacks the 2 door muscle car counterpart
Yep, the remastering of the Moonhawk can (possibly) expand the variety of the body styles - meaning there's a strong possibility that the Bastion has a predecessor lost somewhere in the time continuum. Plus, sharing the same structure means the interchangeability of many parts is gonna be super easy (body panels, interior items, lights, front and rear mask clips, bumpers, suspension components, powertrains, even the ladder-type frame itself)! Yeees, hadn't thought of the FCVs but it's dead-accurate!! Also yeah, the Moonhawk is lacking a plethora of muscle tuning parts and it's also lacking a larger variety of engines, as choked as they may be. I say this because the 244CUI Inline-6 is unnaturally powerful for its time period - 160hp is a decent number but around 100-110hp would be much more realistic. So this leaves enough open space for middle-ground engines (for example, a 130hp small gasoline V8 and a 110hp Diesel V8 with an available Turbocharger, like that amazing mod of Mr. Powerstroke, both larger than the existing 244CUI Inline-6 and smaller than the existing 378CUI V8) and even a larger V8 than the existing 378CUI! The plethora of muscle tuning parts can include all engines (even the 244CUI Inline-6 for those who think it's mistreated in the stable, and the Diesel V8, for those who like that sort of thing) for giving the true freedom of playability and choice! Plus yeah, the modern Moonhawk looks like a fairly easy (and desirable) project with the Bastion parts we have available!
even all of this is just superficially looking at models and textures, there are cars in a much worse state jbeam-wise than the two modern ETKs.
It's really impressive that even without any teaser since 2 month we can still speculate about so much things P.S. Sorry for my english. Sometimes it's not pretty good
The 378 is very underpowered as well. This suggests that the 378 in its current tune should be restricted to the facelift, with a more powerful variant for prefacelift, and the reverse for the 244.
I find this funny since I thought the bastion was fine in terms of design. It's a modern car so it's got modern car problems and designs. People also forget that copyright and trademark laws are a thing so we can't have a 1 to 1 dodge hellcat ingame.
The problem with the Bastion is that people are comparing it to something that it's not intended to be, and then blaming the obvious differences.
it definitely gives the devs a big chance at adding a wide variety of muscle tuner parts, as well as brand new moonhawk body styles. one theory i have even though i have zero evidence for this is a possible dodge monaco style 4 door riding on the moonhawk frame in order to fill the role of the large 70s land yacht sedan that the game currently lacks
