Did a lot of finishing up, changed headlight models, fixing up jbeams and other general finalizing. It's time!
Now that the mod has been released, I've got a list of issues I know about & I'm working on: slightly unstable jbeam if skidplate is installed (fixed) possibly unstable rear suspension/engine/chassis jbeam in extreme crashes/deformation (fixed) rear suspension might have some rear hub flex? not sure license plates show my name (fixed) front wheels get bent/turned easily; weak hubs/tierods, I think (fixed?) rear wheels tend to pop off too easily 3 lug rear wheels pop off if the track width is below default (0.00) front bumper wiggles a lot and gets deformed easily (fixed) unfinished meshes unfinished & nonfunctioning turbo (fixed) lack of detail (wip) I believe the limited slip diff has invisible/triangle driveshafts (fixed) I forgot to include License Plate Design, Paint Design & Additional Modifcation slots (fixed) (does the mod need a skin.materials.json? or is that only necessary when you're adding skins?) lack of skins Add Yellow rear license plate for JorgePinto's EU plate pack (done) Add offset function to the fenders (done) Add & change turbo stuff (done) Please report any other issue you encounter here! I'm also still open to suggestions!
Hi there, The mod is really great and I'm loving it. Do you think you can implement rear yellow number plates (from JorgePinto's European license plate mod)? Was going to say to add the ability to change the number plate design, but you have it there. Kind regards, Mr. Embracer
I'm not familiar with that mod - but I'm pretty sure it should work right out of the box, will download and check later
I'm familiar with the number plate mod, the yellow number plates have to be implemented for each specific vehicle. If you don't have it implemented, it won't show up.
THIS IS SICK!!! Im the 36th to download, I have been waiting for mounths for this mod! Keep up the great work! --- Post updated --- yes it is, I have seen cars with them in dealerships
is it just me or is the back area of the frame really boxy i feel like it should be more curved because a really nice curvy front end is weird with a flat back end
I designed it with the thought in mind that this would be something that someone could make in their spare time with the basic required tools. So like, no fancy machine to bend tubes in a fancy way. I do agree it's quite boxy, but I'm not too sure what else it could look like without making things too complicated. At some point I really would like to build something like this irl...
If you’re looking to build something similar IRL look into a DF Goblin. Chassis comes premade but it’s a reasonably cheap for a high performance kit car. I actually eventually want to make a mod in Beam with a similar concept to a DF Goblin but out of Vanilla vehicles. dfkitcar.com
Maaaan, imagine making something like this irl! Easily possible but would require the right tools. My dream
just, cut most of the butt off and then weld on some diagonal pipes something like this bad representation using text _______ aaaaaaa \ aaaaaaaa \ aaaaaaa / aaaaaaa / ______/ edit: it's fricked up because text looks different while being typed apparently edit 2: sort of fixed it
Oh dang, that's awesome. Seems like you can get it street legal as well? Sweet Kinda doubt it's available outside of the US though. The whole build it yourself thing doesn't seem to be popular here at all as far as I know (the Netherlands) I get what you mean - I'm honestly not looking into changing the design though
I'll include it in my wider axles mod once I get the suspension properly tuned and a couple configs built
Done! @RoadToPocatello Are you thinking of solid plastic bumpers? Or like plastic cladding/padding around the bumpers? I can't really think of anything for an engine cover, ideas?
