Just so you guys know, I call dibs on being the first message on the 2000th page of this thread, thanks.
this isn't speculation, just a random guess but a minivan is one of the last major bodystyles we're missing, so who knows.
One thousand, nine hundred, and ninety-seven pages of Update Speculation. As long as we're on the subject of 1997, does anyone else get the feeling that the dev team has still got something up their sleeve for the newer-generation Pessima? I'm still confused over those hillclimb aero parts, and noticing that the HX trim seems conspicuously absent.
If you can even call it speculation… I don’t really see them adding any more major stuff to the Pessima. I think it’s gotten it’s remaster and other than a few future parts like all cars get I don’t see it getting content. HX trim might have just gone away, and the hill climb parts might just be staying for the people who like them. I think the grand marshal would benefit more from a second remaster or content update.
This is the kind of arguing that should be left in the '90s. Once we hit 2000, things are just gonna keep getting better... right?
Aight, I’m sorry I posted that as it wasn’t related to the thread and I’m going to nip this at the bud before it grows to take over the thread. Now to speculation, anyone checked steamDB lately? Any updates to creator program?
im guessing they are going to be just as quiet there. Maybe they are just taking a break? its been a pretty stressful year and with most restrictions just getting lifted id imagine they probably just need some time to themselves
I believe these fixes are important because ok, it has to have a certain credible degree of realism, right? The modern Pick-Up type is more suitable to Bruckell, I believe, because Bruckell hadn't had a Pick-Up up until now, so there's definitely the modern Pick-Up Truck niche to be filled here. Wheel quantity is large enough for the D-Series, so just about anyone can find a wheel suitable for their needs and tastes. So I don't think it needs even more wheels. --- Post updated --- Tbh, I wonder what a generation between the two existing ones would look like. If we take the leaked chassis codes into consideration (leaked accidentally in the first day the 0.24 came out), the VM301 (1988 - 1991) and VM501 (1996 - 2000) codes imply that there's an intermediate generation, from 1992 to 1995, quite possibly called the "VM401". Although it's highly unlikely that we see this imaginary generation, it's certainly good content for rising questions about generation succession in the BeamNG lore. You're absolutely right, the Grand Marshal is in a dire need of a good second remastering because it feels half-done. And there's a large quantity of content good enough for upgrading it: Late ECUs, Late Intakes, a 1998 Exterior and Interior Facelift (the original Grand Marshal was made from 1990-1997), Front Bench Seats, a Wagon Body, Rear-Facing Jump Seats... It's a long list! Plus the digital clock on the dash needs to get functional!
