I'm looking for some small town maps for minimum lag yet.. city/town. It can be anything from small houses with a lot of roads to big urban areas.

If possible, something with less props like trees or rocks, but buildings.
If you know any, please tell me.

Block Island is probably one of the best out there while there's a lot of trees it's got A TON of roads to drive on

Thanks, it's a bit empty but the roads are long and I like it. Anyone else have some maps?

No problem. RCUSA does have a lot of trees though, sorry about that...

...however, Yellowsand Island is also pretty good

Dude literally said it's gonna be trashy for low end PC-s... so uh. Yeah.

    Not at all.

I'm gonna just say this right now as I just noticed that I did not:

I want maps that can be run by low end PCs. Slight lag is okay. Doesn't have to be something large, just something with err. road. road . that's it.

ok goodbye im gonna go sleep thanks for the map suggestions.

My recommendation is "North Collester". It's relatively small, but it has a number of roads leading from one part of town to the other. They also put just enough fog and haze in the map to run pretty well on weaker computers. (I think).

Let me add one more thing. In any map, you can improve frame rates noticeably, if you move the shadow texture size to the next one lower.

Access in World Editor by going to Level Object/sky/sunsky then on the right-hand column search out Advanced lighting/texSize.

    The texture sizes are in multiples of 32 (32, 64, 128, 256, 510, 1024, 2048, 4096, etc). Though I don't think 4096 sticks, so don't try to go higher than 2048.
What I mean to say is that if your computer is struggling at the current number, go the next number down. This is especially helpful if you set the time early in the morning/late in the evening-- where the shadows are long. High noon I don't think it matters as much, though it can still be a factor in a map with lots of trees that overhang the roads. Jungle Island comes to mind.

Since shadows take so much computer power, you might opt to play without them, though I agree that takes away some of the 3-D effect. Other options are to move brightness down to zero (in the sunsky sub section of "Lighting"), or adjust "Shadows Visibility" in the Main Menu/Options/Quality/Shadows Visibility section.

Experiment and see what is best for you, before just assuming a map is totally off limits. You may find that with this relatively simple adjustment variable, more maps are available to you without an absolute slide show in your midst. Good luck,

Something I enjoy doing on North Collester is playing at night wiht 1-2 AI cars, it is very FPS friendly and a lot of fun.

I wish I could even load up traffic. My computer just decides to die. But yeah, it's fun.

I've been having the same problem. There doesn't seem to be enough maps with curbsides or suburban areas

Yeah. We need more DEFAULT BeamNG maps that are mostly suburban areas and stuff. Especially less graphics intensive maps.

And also all of the maps that do have towns and stuff don't have walk sides which make it feel unfinished
