The only reason the models are decent is because they rip them from games like Forza, then claim them as their own.

Youtube needs to be informed about this matter as well and shut that account down although BeamNG has to claim the copyright strike against that account due to infringing rights against them...or the owners of the said mods on that page have to target the videos they feel that their copyright is in breach of...and that should do it 3 strikes and your banned on youtube

but who knows and also the sponsor needs to be informed that they are supporting a pirate as well..and they need to terminate their sponsorship with them...I am better the money that the channel makes directly supports THAT website...does anyone know roughly what that channel of that size would make on views alone can someone crunch the numbers?

This really saddens me. This is one of the worst mods I've seen so far. But the fact that he's branding it as official or professional in any way really makes this amazing game look bad. There are like 3 channels just like this that show off all the countless Russian mods that crash just as badly.

 

Something has got to be done about this for good...

 

What copyright? Only thing that infringes against BeamNG is the usage of the gavril name which hasn't been trademarked anyway, the mesh and jbeam don't infringe on BeamNG.

 

Your right man...we cant do much about this...thats the problem about these russian sites we cannot shut them down....

 

And also one of the main things I hate about Russian sites is that people buy beamng then download a few mods they found on YouTube (Russian ones) and then think the whole game is crap

Yeah they (as in the people who Pirated the game) make the assumption that Gabester is a joke and that he doesnt really give a shit about what others say and that he made a crappy game....but thats not the Gabester way...


the solution for this might as well be...as simple as a logic bomb....which gets deactivated once you install the program and put in your activation code on Steam if you dont do that the program wont launch but all you get is a message saying "We do not support pirates....go buy the game for real and dont steal it!"


Its something my dad and myself used on a program that got pirated but my dad was clever enough to put in a logic bomb in the code where if you didnt activate the program within 24 hours the program refused point blank to open no matter what you tried...thats what I suggest a simple Logic bomb...

Yeah a simple undetectable logic bomb in the code which isnt that easy to access you pirate it and install it then it refuses to open...thats what is needed only way to activate it is to buy the game...it should come up with the message when you try and open the pirated game

That wouldn't work though. You need a key to install the game so you couldn't run the game in the first place so there would never be a trigger for your piracy warning. There isn't a way to detect the stolen mesh mods either.

As for hilarious things to do. There was that game dev tycoon game, it would let you run it without registering your copy but after a certain amount of ingame time people would stop buying your companies games and start pirating them instead, it was hilarious to go on the forums and watch people post asking how to stop people pirating their companies games because its making them lose all their money and fail.
