probably could add a weak electric motor, and a battery that doesnt last long, since EV tech wasnt as good back then

 

Well, Electric can be something factory stuff, since the Facelift version of the car is released in 1996, and stopped it's production in 2005, back then there was some electric car prototypes, and even some production models!

I remember an old E Covet mod. But yep, I agree. Nothing like the Swift or cars of that era had electric. Maybe aftermarket though

Ekectric was very expensive though. Main car I think of would be the Reva G-Wiz

 

Couple of news from me, as you already know that i live in Ukraine, most of the time there's the air warning in cities, and districts, and we got a air warning, but, i decided after almost 1 hour of sitting in basement come back to my house, maybe not until the next day, but still. With that, i may put the Petitron on temporary hold, if it's needed. While the air warning happened, i was making the Electric engine for the Petitron (almost done btw, there's only half shaft problem that's easy to fix), but still, i did a lot of stuff in it, so it's quite finished, i did used some Vivace's code, but who really cares, i'm not that type of modders who write them fully from scratch, indeed, i'm not an expert in modding. Anyways, stay safe, and have a luck today!

This is probably a little late, but it would be great if they tried to have an electric variant. A lot of start up brands did that (but awfully failed), so it would be cool to see an electric model with HORRIBLE range just to mess around with. The lore would probably just be that they wanted to try something new to help the world be a less polluted planet.

 

Electric engine is now fully working and rides nicely, it's still a bit quick, but it has a terrible battery (10kWh), and still needs some edits in the code.
The prototype config that was tested on (edited Sport L Turbo config) will be included in mod, so you can experience my testing stuff i did to the electric engine.

Now next plans for the electric Petitron are:
Make badges for the electric configs
Parts for the electric configs (Facelift only)
Electric gauges (Facelift only)

whats the weight difference between the normal petitron and the EV petitron?

 

and for those who are interested in how the prototype electric powered car looks like, this is it. as i said, it's based on Sport L Turbo, but it has removed badges, and the gauge cluster.

same as with the petrol / diesel powered engine, because it uses the same jBeam from the engine, technically the engine meshslap, but i'll edit it a bit later.

 

cool, because id expect an older style batterypack to weigh quite a lot more compared to a regular version, hence, well, reducing the already terrible range of EVs back then
