Hello and welcome, to what is hopefully a fun series of threads about the BeamNG vehicles & their unique traits which makes them stand out from other in-game cars! Depending on the community reception, there will be more threads like this, especially for upcoming vehicles. After a small hiatus from my side, we're now on episode 5, so I think it's going well Here is some fun facts about the Vivace & Tograc: They are the first car platform in game to feature an Inline-5 engine The Tograc is the only crossover in game as of writing this, despite the Overview tab refering to it as a "Hatchback" Having a model year of 2020, the Vivace is the most modern hatchback Only vehicle to have not only flat-bottom steering wheel but also flat-top, making it a rounded rectangle They feature a plethora of propulsion options: Inline-3, Inline-4 of two different sizes & fuel types, as well as an Inline-5 & electric motors, in 1 & 2 motor configuration None of the ICE have the ability to be N/A, just forced induction in the form of a singular turbocharger First to feature an electric radiator option Both, Vivace & Tograc possess the ability to exchange some body panels between each other, e.g. the bumpers First to have lightweight glass as an option Only vehicle to have a selectable tacho & speedo scale Has the ability to change the interiour designs, not just colours, which lets you have "mood lighting" on the interiour They both have an "Amateur Rally Livery", which hasn't been seen before on other cars Vivace is the first car to introduce a Rallycross config Feel free to add some fun facts of your own
"Fun" Fact: Most configs have Performance Class 0, which is likely a "bug", but it hasn't been fixed in... over a year.
Fun fact: it was the first vanilla vehicle to not have a moving gear selector (always love when another one of these come out )
It is the only vehicle platform of 2 vehicles that is not a series like D-Series but yet has 2 different vehicles in the selector They share all components except the suspension and the body panels that are only visually different They are the only French vehicles we have The first vehicles that offered a lightweight interior as an option They introduced modern DSE to the game, as well as adaptive suspension and active differentials They are the only vehicles with electronically controlled turbochargers where the amount of boost depends on not just the throttle and drive mode, but also on the fitted ECU, and on more powerful turbos also on the gear, to prevent wheelspin from excessive power in 1st and 2nd gear The only vehicles where one of the engines only allows a stock and stage 2 turbo, without stage 1 and stage 3 The engine start button looks kinda like the one on the UI First vehicles with chassis stiffening available as an option First vehicles that allows headlights that don't match the shape of the fascia (Vivace headlights on Tograc fascia) The only vehicles to use modern steel wheels on base models instead of classic ones (Opinion warning) the electric Tograc is the ugliest vehicle in the game
I honestly think the tograc in general is ugly, it looks like the new ugly bmws that look like they are shouting and choking
I hope they add an old hydropneumatic french car like this The tograc is definitely not the best example of french cars quirkyness
*Cries in repair bill* I used to work at a place that specialized in the repair of the few French cars that were sold here. Most of the cars that I had to "fix" were just regular maintenance on regular cars, like timing belts on Nissans, oil changes on Audis, etc. However, there were a few French cars that I had to fix. I quit after only a year XD. Thanks to Agent_Y, I can now simulate a French car driving down the road without worrying about fixing it. OT: The Tograc was the first car to have digital gauges. It also the first vehicle not on the original list that had its name released before the actual car was.
The ETK gauges, to be fair, are not truly digital. They have a center screen in the cluster, but the gauges themselves are still analog. eSBR, you got me there. It was a full year before that came out, so yeah.
only car where, on launch, had fog lamp telltale lights on the gauges, even though it doesnt have fog lamps which, had been fixed in a later hotfix. and is back again, after the new UI update.
Fun Fact: about this congfigure, the back of this configure says ...insérer le slogan français ici which actually means "insert French slogan here i just found this out like just now.
