yall think they'll add more random furniture in the next update? i think they'll add some kind of table, personally

 

the furniture is made to test the aptitude of new vehicle artists, and they do presently have a shortage of JBeam developers,
so it's quite possible if they do get someone else on the team.

They are? Where did you here this? I believe you, I’m just wondering. I had always thought they did it because they felt like putting some random props to play around with in the game.

It's very interesting that they mentioned that the dev team does in fact take some of their inspiration from the community forums, and even more interesting that certain members of the development team specialize in different real-world automotive disciplines (drifting, European cars, off-road customization, etc.) I wonder if there's anyone on the team who specializes in pre-1970 cars.

Speaking thereof, it's interesting to note that community requests do seem to play a pretty big role in vehicle development choices. We've gotten a taste of that in the recent appearance of a modern muscle car, and the recent teasing of a modern supercar. Given all the requests for minivans and pre-1940 cars, I wonder if those will enter development sooner rather than later.
