I wonder how old it is. Considering this is only map that doesn't have blocked "exit" roads or looped tunnels it is an interesting found. Maybe there were plans to add them.

It's been there since the original release of ECA years ago.

Allow me to let my inner Interstate nerd out.

This is a three digit number, with a odd leading number, which tells us that this I-572 would be a spur off of I-72 (which runs between Hannibal, MS and Champaign, IL).

Why this is used in a town that is set in Maine, and a highway that isn't used at all and doesn't exist, according to the license plates, is odd.

Im guessing Fir Rocks wouldve been what they had originally planned to call Firwood or the surrounding area, since it also appears the sign is wide enough for a 2 lane divided highway, it wouldve been an interesting feature for sure, but judging from how small ECUSA is already (1.6km if i remember correctly) there wouldnt be much room to make it usable even if it went from corner to corner, and the space it would take up would essentially cut the map in half like a knife, and imo wouldve probably subtracted from the whole 'small coastal' vibe that the map does so well.

if it does get some sort of boost in size to be closer in scale to maps like Italy and WCUSA, it could very well find a use, but for now i doubt anything much will happen to it

    1. I doubt the devs wouldve accounted for this when they first made this (like years ago)

I don't go by that name anymore, so I prefer if you'd stop calling me that.

I remember this sign or a very similar one being used in the map years ago that has since been removed.
It's partially visible in an old picture I took on February 23rd 2015:

If you followed the road that leads out of Firwood to the north and made a left turn at the intersection there I think that was where it was located.

Hmm. Yeah I kept forgetting to post a thread in the bugs section but never got around to it. Is it refering to the long stretch of road near the "default" bus stop? I can't really see this being true because it really isn't a highway. when I think highway, I think long streches of 4-lane roads.

You can find signs on that "highway" that it is actually a Route 1 also know as U.S. Highway 1 (in short US 1) - a real road in USA.
