Great to see the gauges finally working! But it would be better if they moved smoother. Is that possible?
Actually the way it moves is realistic because it's a display that updates x times per second and not physical needles, that is way it's choppier.Maybe he can up the framerate on it little bit idk
I figured they were digital needles, but I doubt they'd be like this IRL. Yes, frame rate should be higher.
It has been yet another long day of work, but well worth it, another great update incoming, including the awaited Working Gauges Part 2! Diesel Imperial gauges shown Added Imperial Gauges and Diesel Gauges Includes every combo of Units, Fuel and Driving Position (e.g. A RHD Diesel Defender will have the gauges on the right, imperial units, and diesel tacho) The new gauges have been calibrated to show the actual figure Imperial Gagues have ºF instead of ºC and the mileage on top is now a miles figure, the date is also changed into MM/DD/YYYY Every single config has been revised to include the proper gauge setup Small updates the Terrain Response System (Thanks to @dumpling) Added 4WD Crawler transfer case (now standard in the Off-Road config, along with crawler tires) (Thanks to @dumpling) Improved radiator cooling strength (Thanks to @dumpling) Adjusted and fixed positioning of all 20" rims and their tires Fixed the RHD look back animation P300 Media Spec Explorer Pack fixes: Removed USDM reflectors Added missing steering wheel column Added the Vivace I4 sound to the P300 I4 (Thanks to @CarTMatt on Discord) Added new configurations and updated others (Thanks to @CarTMatt on Discord and @dumpling)
Ouch...my bad, when updating the wheels I selected the wrong mesh for the front ones...anyway, hotfix time then, it's now ready in the first post Fixed silver 5098 20" front rim being the two-tone instead Fixed red accents on the front headlights Added RHD metric gauges (both petrol and diesel versions) for countries who drive on the left but use metric Fixed speedo readings in some gauges not being centered passed 100 km/h Configs revised to have privacy glass to the configs that comes with them default irl (thanks to @dumpling) Other config changes (thanks to @dumpling) Maybe? Not even devs dare to do hybrid system due to the complexity needed to do it properly, so the answer is a big no, at least in the short-midterm until some breakthrough change happens
Author of this mod already said they won't be making it due to it's complexity and difficulty to get it right. Atleast for now, maybe in feature they will
Jorge, I don't say this much, but this mod is shaping up to be truly incredible. Glad to see how far you've come with your skills, and to see people help you along the way.
Thank you and everyone for your words, to be honest I said at the beginning I didn't want to accept request or add new parts since being my first 'meshslap' I was worried it was going to be awfully average, but thanks to time, practise, and of course the inspiration and work of all the people who have helped, I'm really glad the level the mod has reached so far Maybe going for the 90 was a step a bit too early, but that has also helped me where things are, and what can be done at every step. And talking about next steps...these are next! (WIP right now)
Maybe one day someone could also help with the Jbeam being kinda weird on crashes, for me it's currently the biggest issue, but fixing it is probably beyond my own abilities, because I could maybe fix spiking and stuff which I have experience with, but this has some geometry issues and that would require redoing parts of Jbeam from scratch to fix, and modern cars are too complex for me in that regard.
Oh, excellent! If you have time, please could you make some rock sliders like these (that won't bend like the standard side steps)?
Update is ready! As always, not a professional job at all, but they will hopefully look the part. Added 6010 19" 6 Spoke rims Available in both Gloss Silver and Gloss Black Added 19" normal and off-road tires to go along with them Both colors available as well as spare tires Updated thumbnails If I ever get the chance to get the LOD1, it might not be too crazy replacing some of the panels at leastm but I agree it would be great to improve that area, too bad I can think of an easier solution... Those have been in the pipeline for a while, funnily enough I got the side steps ready quickly, but the rock sliders have been giving me issues with the attachments, hopefully they will come soon.
It crashes way worse before. I made several strengthening to the car before, but I do admit the car is still weak compared to what it should be.
