then it probably just needs to be made into one eventually, like the Bad Bubu. (they might even add a rollcage at the same time)
From what ive seen there might be more graphics stuff coming, might be 0.25 or later. My gfx mods have been around for a long time and when lurking around the game files i see changes being made, for example in the tonemap.h.hlsl, where the main part of my gfx mods happens, there is a reference to bge_coconut. I assume that is the development version of bge. If bge_coconut is used by the game then it refers to a different tonemap than the current one. As it seems, that tonemap is the very tonemap im using in my gfx mods (ACES fitted) which is a quick version of the filmic ACES (movie industry standard tonemap) which completely gets rid of the still dull (IMO) tonemap which is currently used (Uncharted2 tonemap) That combined with the faulty postfx components in the game options, which instead works in World Editor along with Autoexposure and Blue shift makes me think its on its way. NOW, the tonemap reference has been around for a somewhat long time and personally i dont know why they havent switched over just the tonemap yet since it improves the gfx vastly IMO but it could be part of a larger gfx update down the line.
I really hope so. I don't know if it counts as gfx but i hope the AA will be impoved, right now, when you take a screenshot in normal resolution, the aliasing is very glaring.
They aren't though. At all. Not only is it massively overused but it also doesn't make any sense in context... There's only so many manhours in an update cycle, it's just impossible for the team to get to everything within a couple of updates. Especially considering a lot of what's left needs a lot of quality work as well as have very high amount of potential content. The devs already said they will be getting to everything when they get to it.
Anyone remember the WIP UI app leaked in 0.9? Could it be for career mode? Sure, its old, but it was a huge concept. (ill edit this when i find a picture)
Really wish they focused on aero improvements rather than AI improvement, but I guess something is better than nothing
i just want the AI to have a "racing mode". using/making AI Scripts is just hard enough. plus GamerGull has a mod has templates to make AI for races. i wonder if that is a sign od things to come?
It's my favorite and it's SO out of date. Last update of significance was years ago. The 1950s was an iconic, crazy, historical decade for American automotive design and this is the only thing we have in the game to represent it. Kinda sad.
True that. 1950s America was full of tail fins, convertibles, pale colours, Wagons and Pickups with wood panelling, curved windshields, chrome, rear wheel skirts, low-slung coupes and some more chrome! The Burnside has pale colours, rear wheel skirts, chrome and some more chrome (plus the amazing Lead Sled body, which shouldn't have a modern tuning steering wheel piloting it, it looks awful in the car) but it's still missing a lot of content appropriate to its time period! One more note about the Special, apart from the Lead Sled's inappropriate steering wheel: its animated Manual Column Shifter should also be copied to the other cars using such a shifter (like the Bluebuck and Moonhawk)!
You know they have different people working on different parts of the game at all times, its not like for one update the whole team focuses on one car or just the AI so there could still be aero improvements going on that we aren't aware of
You made me think we got a new map for a second. He’s probably just alluding to some under the hood improvements, I think.
I’m pretty convinced Italy will have a remaster because all of the other big maps (east coast, west coast, Utah, and JRI) have been remastered.
