on the off chance that the remaster will blah blah blah, we can excpect some more blah blah for the covet, such as new blah options more blah blahs. Maybe even a CRX blah idk.
so, covet remaster is the only confirmed thing here i really do feel like the moonhawk is getting remastered, we just havent gotten any pictures yet
This is purely speculation with no proof whatsoever : I think it is resonable to think the Pessima Gen 1 could be remastered in parallel. -They are both of the same era and from the same brand, they could share even more parts OEM / After-Market, remaking both of them in this next update would save time right ? -The Covet has the 2.0 I4 from the Pessima, remastering the Covet but keeping the old Pessima engine in it would be strange ? (a new engine model in a none remastered Pessima is equally as weird) Or they get rid of this config with the remaster, but I simply can't tell
You're right, snow/studded tires could be a part of a Snowy/Icy major update and this upcoming major update most certainly won't be dedicated to such a content. Didn't think of that. You're right, the existing Rally Covet already feels like a Group A rally car and it's only missing AWD for the package to be complete. You're also right about the Group B cars, they were very fast without using extreme aero aids in European hillclimbs but yeah, I was thinking of the Group B rally cars doubling as Pikes Peak hillclimbing machines. So you say that the aero bits could be even larger for a hillclimbing event like Pikes Peak. They seemed large enough tbh, but ok, it remains to be seen. This Covet will certainly have a good power-to-weight ratio, so we'll wait and see the aerokit and if it's gonna have AWD or not (which I very much want it to have AWD because the short wheelbase is no joke).
Imo a group B covet, new textures for the car, and nothing else. The money idea doesn't seem too good, nobody would play the game if it was a thing.
Pretty sure that user meant an in game economy, not DLC. Maybe not, it is certainly vauge wording. An in game economy is something rarely mentioned when talking about things we still need for full release, but it's certainly important and IMO far overdue.
I agree, since it lines up perfectly with the covet imo, especially if we are going to see lots of bodywork changes on the covet (hopefully a sedan or wagon) then we would also expect the pessima to receive a good amount of changes too since they have a good amount in common
I didn't express myself too well but you got it "could share even more parts" implying they already share parts, reason why it seems conceivable to me, used the engine as an exemple cause it was the only one I could think of but there is way more than that. Concerning the bodystyles I'm not so optimistic : -5-doors hatch sound plausible, but sedan would be too close to the Pessima maybe. -Stuff like Aerodeck or Shuttle bodies are really cool (and I'd love it honestly !) but it's probably too much work for not so many possible unique configs.
it makes sense, since they are (imo at least) the accord and civic combo of the beamng universe, it would be suiting for them to both get a revamp at the same time however seeing as how much would need to be reworked on both to get a fully satisfying covet and pessima, it might be split into two just so we could see variations in body style, such as wagons, coupes, etc. with that being said, i would not mind waiting an extra 3-6 months if it meant we got plenty of covet and pessima body styles
interesting that qa_latest is getting updates but who knows if it has anything to do with the next update
its likely just more bug fixes, i wouldnt expect the update for at least another month/month and a half
emphasis on the at least part its fully possible we get a tiny update with just the remastered vehicle and not the supercar as a spring update
Nope, it most likely is Group A already. It can't get AWD (at the moment) because under Group A regulations you had to keep the drivetrain layout from a production model. Up until 1988 there were actually very few AWD Group A cars.
I feel the Covet is more like a lower class rally car, more amateur-ish privateer team territory than a factory-backed team with loads of money.
The Rally livery of the Covet says "Ibishu Racing Team" at the back, so it most likely is a factory racing team backing it. You're right again, searched it and found out. Thank you very much sir!
They could just make a homologation Awd covet. Chances are it might even be rear engine, considering the huge vents in the rear fender flares that look like intake ducts, and the Renault 5 Turbo inspiration.
