That's the plan These 2 last updates are in fact hotfixes by me and @dumpling to fix some issues detected in the last main update, and to organize and revise the existing and brand new configs, so that should be it for a while.
hey devs, iv just found a few issues today the rims have a weird reflection glitch. i have the black 22s on in the clip and the v8 door panels dont have a model
Yup, spoke too soon Anyway...hotfix released! Fixed V8 variants not having door panels Fixed weird reflection effect on the 22" rims Readjusted all tires and wheels for proper scaling, as well as correct positioning between tires and rims themselves Added paintable spare tire cover option Fixed some texturing issues
Sorry for criticizing, but i think those rims looks kinda too dark a bit too oily/shiny. Maybe fix their looks to look like this ?
One of the best car mods out there! How ever 2 things i would like to point out: 1: Good update with the wheels but for the tires looks extremly thin, like bycycle wheels. A bit like whats on a toyota Aygo. So maybe an option or just update to correct width ? 2: Everytime i go offroad with the defender even in high/offroad mode the front end " scratches" on every object without touching it whichs give an annoying sound like your hitting everything without hitting it. Otherwise 10/10 mod! thank you <3
the tires that are used are accurate to each rim and the scratching could be because the hit boxes of quite alot of rocks and road surfaces are a bit messy, it happens to me with lampposts for example. heres a spec sheet if your interested https://www.wheel-size.com/size/land-rover/defender/2021/
Well he's not only doing it himself, he also gets people helping, which increases the amount of updates
The only wheels which really have this issue are the "5093 Steelies" which have 225/70 R18 tires in-game, but the correct tire size should be 255/70 R18. That's probably why it looks so thin.
They just look very off either way. See these pictures of a real one with same steelie wheels vs the ingame. Its not 100% accurate photos but the model in beamng looks like 180 wide tires where the actual car has 255. "Both photos is with steelie wheels"
*EDIT* CANCELLED, SORRY Ok, it's surprise time. First of all, this is still WIP, and it's not included in any update until said so. So...something have been caught jumping away in Gridmap...good thing today's cameras are really good, since this is not the 90s anymore! Boom.
Yeah 225 mm tires is way too skinny the v8 has 275 mm wide tires, and the non-22 inch wheels have 255 mm tires
