The one with the red car is the one I based the config on. But I can't find any info about the other one. The damage seems similar, except the whole windshield falls off the car and the seatbelts aren't fastened in it. People in the comments are saying that it's also 40 km/h into a wall like the first one. Is there anything at lower or higher speed?

Lmao this is not very useful to me but kinda funny, they bought the car for like $10 and decided to wreck it, it was already rusty and missing half of its parts, all blinkers were broken even before crash, vandalized, cheap visual tuning, every wheel is different, and people in the comments are angry that these guys are "destroying a classic car that back in the day you had to work your whole life to afford", even though this is a late model (I think EL but hard to tell with this quality) that was easy to buy and half of the remaining parts aren't even original lol

That video reminded me that I was supposed to make an offroad beater skin, so I made it today

After LOTS of adjustments, I'm finally getting somewhere... Some parts obviously still need a lot of work, like windshield, rockers, hood, middle of front panel, and the entire front suspension... It was easier when it was closer to the Piccolina, but the weight distribution wasn't realistic back then.
    sadfsfafa.png
I might have to redo the hood from scratch, as originally I based it on the Piccolina one which has a completely different shape, added more nodes, and used a weird solution to get it to deform somewhat normally, but not at all like on the image. And the windshield idk when I broke it so badly, I'll revert it to the version from last beta test I think.

No new progress but I thought I would make a list of which parts of Jbeam are scratch made and which are from other cars, and how much they are modified. I might need a list like this later and I thought it would be interesting too. And also this is in case someone thought it's a meshslap.

Body: Based on the Piccolina, but the shape of everything is modified, as well as all the basic node and beam values, and additionally roof nodes are modified a lot, most nodes and triangles on the floor were redone, pillars are strengthened, the whole front has been modified so much that it might as well be called scratch made at this point, and the rear fenders, quarter panels and engine mount bar are scratch made. So all that is left from the Piccolina in the body shell now are the beams on the inside (that also have edited spring and damp to compensate for weight changes), suspension mounts (repositioned) and the general layout of beams in most areas. The stiffness distribution got also carried over. Cabrio body is a modified normal body, so it has even less from the Piccolina
Quarter windows: From the Piccolina, but the thing about working with glass is that whenever you change anything in the main body you also have to change it for the glass, so practically the Jbeam is heavily modified. Tilting quarter windows are scratch made
Turn signals: All scratch made but there wasn't even too much to make lol
Taillights: From the LeGran with modified weight, shape and light props
Backlight: Same situation as with quarter windows, so from Piccolina but not really
Bumpers: Steel ones from Piccolina with modified shape, all plastic ones are heavily modified Covet ones with edited weight, shape and beam values
Doors: Piccolina-based ones with a simplified structure and changes to weight distribution because of door panels, also door glass, hinges and latches were modified a lot
Mirrors: All are heavily modified ones from various cars. ST from Barstow, FL from Bolide (before remaster), EL from Covet. All have modified shape, weight, beam values and attachment
Decklid: Started as a modified Piccolina one, but everything about it is modified so much now that it's practically scratch made
Engine: Scratch made loosely based on a Piccolina engine Jbeam structure, this is true for all engines, even the one swapped from the Piccolina doesn't have its original Jbeam lol
Headlights: Piccolina with modified shape, and pre-remaster Pigeon light props
Hood: Currently heavily modified Piccolina one but needs to be remade
    Dashboard: Scratch made
Seats: Heavily modified simplified vanilla common race seats (because they go on race seat base, otherwise they would float mid air)
Wheels: Pigeon ones with modified size, weight and some other things
Tires: Pigeon ones with modified size, weight and default pressure. I need to add more tires though that will be more modified
Hubcaps: Covet ones with modified size and weight
Front suspension: All scratch made by me and various other people who helped
Rear suspension: Piccolina based, but all the beams and the whole geometry are completely different now, coil springs are heavily modified Miramar ones
Windshield: Almost scratch made based on Hopper one
    Dummies: Scratch made
All the other parts: Either have no real Jbeam or scratch made or both model and Jbeam is from another car

In the old version of the mod, most stuff was scratch made but very badly, with some bits and pieces from the Pigeon. So it might kinda seem like a downgrade, but if you look at the results, my version already behaves a lot more realistic, because it was based on a vanilla car that was really similar, and then heavily modified with some parts either scratch made or swapped from other cars. And also imagine how much time it would take me if I were to make such a large mod from scratch with this quality.

Devs would make everything from scratch except maybe the doors and seats, they usually don't reuse parts from other cars. They would definitely be able to make it a lot better. But I'm trying my best.

Who cares you made them from scratch or not? The quality of the final version is important. You've put lots of months on it and it's better than some boring vanilla cars (e.g. pigeon) imo
    --- Post updated ---
I mean, most stuff in the old version were scratch made, but they were very bad quality... but new version's jbeams which are based on other cars, are very high quality. So it's not important at all the jbeams is scratch made or not

The thing is that scratch-made stuff is purpose built for a certain car, and with making a car out of parts from other cars I could have caused a lot of issues that I still haven't noticed, due to the parts being incompatible to each other. I made sure to avoid common mistakes but there could be some rare ones.
