Did anyone else notice diamondback was using the old gridmap? It also had scenario stands or whatever their called. Could it be returning?
Oooh! I've noticed the map, but haven't noticed at all that the scenarios are integrated with the new mission system! I thought he's just playing around in it because it's a nice map and not too heavy on the computer so you can test un-optimised stuff and record at the same time. That leads to a few options: 1. The missions system was in development for a very long time, and was already created for Gridmap before the remaster. We're seeing remnants of that. 2. The missions system has some sort of automatic conversion from the Bus routes scenario or Quickraces to Missions. Any mapper or modder out there can confirm if that's the case? I haven't used the map editor or created scenarios since the D-series Pre-runner came out, so I'm entirely out of the loop as far as that goes. 3. Gridmap is coming back! IDK what I think about it, it might be good but what's really the point of that, if we already have a new Gridmap? I really liked the old one, but the new Gridmap is a better vision (IMO) of what a "Gridmap" should be- testing areas, loops, tracks...
If TDK decides to go the synthesized route with the engine sounds, many of the niches would indeed to very easy to fill
Oh haha, right, you guys don't have GM1 anymore by default. Nothing to see there really, it's just still my normal work map since it loads super quick and still has some stuff on there (unlike small grid)
These are very rare engines/powerplants (well, not the Single-cylinders and the FlexFuels, all the others)! Wow! --- Post updated --- A 2-Speed Auto could also be useful in a modern, stupidly quick/fast electric car with sporting road manners! But yes, a weird 70s/80s first attempt at an electric car could be very interesting! We can put its primitive battery to the test and see how far it can go and how much anxious/mad it can make us!
Haven't spoken in here for a while, anyways, I feel ETK's are next in line for getting remastered, specially after we got PBR for the ETK Driving Center, can't remember if it's actually named like that.
It could very well be true this one since the ETK Driver Experience Center has already been remastered, so it feels natural that the ETK models could be next in line. It also feels natural since the I-Series is already 5.5 years old (6-y.o. in July 23rd), so it needs a good remastering and content expansion, and also because the modern ETKs share many parts, are about to turn 7 years old in 2022 and they're incomplete in many ways, from lacking equipment/content to having unfinished structures and wrong/hastily done details, so they also need a good remastering.
I wonder if the Community Mission Routes contest being restricted to the T-series and the flatbed trailer might be related to a partial remaster of the T-series. A trio of new missions certainly would be an excellent way to showcase a recently-updated vehicle.
Seems like a widebody Covet at first ... Do you think that could mean Covet remaster ? --- Post updated --- A French 80s hatchback like a Peugeot 205 would be too similar to the Covet, that's why i'm thinking this will be a part of a future covet remaster... But maybe a stock Turbo variant !
Actually you could be right. The side strips look very similar to the Covet's. --- Post updated --- The only thing that throws me off is that a side skirt that outrageous just doesn't really suit a Covet. Or maybe its a Group B Covet with homologation special?
