Released 2020 Land Rover Defender (Update 27/12 - Hotfix)

It might be worth asking the devs how they work on the ETK 800.

I'm guessing here (I'm a Motorsport Engineering student but I've never even attempted to make a mod / write any code for BeamNG) but are the electronic locking differentials tied to the Electronic Stability Control system (could test the ETK800 on rollers to find out. I'll try shortly)? I do know that the TCS, ESC, throttle, differentials and even gearbox & transfer case are all electronically controlled as part of the Terrain Response system on the real Defender.

 

for the silver rim in mid-range trim in defender doesn't need to be so shiny and make them like this ( upper pic ). Also maybe consideration for more defender rims ( pics below )?

 

i get that you want animated blinkers but like, its not that important.

 

I love this mod! I am a huge Land Rover fan and this is a very accurate model! Is there any hope of getting a 90 two-door? It's all the same, but it needs longer doors and a shorter wheelbase!
I would also love the option for offroad tires on the 18" wheels in the future!

 

Well, in game there is 2 types of auto locking diffs: the electronically locking, that usually simply brakes the slipping wheel, so the torque is sent to the other wheel, and the Sport diff, which uses a different controller and actually locks the diff itself if a wheel slips, not using the brakes.

 

The orbit camera is a bit close, but otherwise, I really like this!

 

So I have been really hard at work today, for what is probably one of the best updateS in terms of user-requested items...and it's now live!

There is more in the pipeline, but I prefer to release this bunch and then keep finishing stuff, so there is fresh things already available.

• Added taillights trim and the trim above then paintable as an option (they are now always black as default)

• Added working hazard button (it's always on but when the hazards are activated, the light blinks)
• Added working (animated) signal stalk
• Added Active Locking Front and Rear differentials (using the code from ETK K's Sport diffs) (Thanks to @Xupaun)

• Fixes and others:
  • Fixed USDM left taillight not having any glow
  • Fixed roof rails not being black at all times
  • Fixed the rear LSD being a open diff (Thanks to @Xupaun)
    
  • Fixed roof rack staying in place even after tearing its beams apart
  • Silver stock wheels are now less shiny
  • Fixed Hard Top config having the wrong front bumper cover option

 

Such a great mod! Thank you for your work! It's crazy how fast you release updates,sheeesh And sorry for my bad english-i'm russian and trying to use translator as little as possible

 

Here are the edited Differential files. Not only I added the Active Locking Front and Rear differentials (using the code from ETK K's Sport diffs), but also fixed the rear LSD being a open diff.

Didn't test tho, since I have a University test right now

how do I get the car to raise up in offroad mode it does not raise up for me?

 

You should press "O" and air suspension would work

Air suspension only works in higher trims like 'P400' or above

Also, a drag config is coming, just have to add more performance parts to it and try to increase it's performance

 

plz add turbo for v8 and the exhaust no backfire we need backfire
