the 2.7 V6 exhaust sound with the new custom muffler its super deep compared to the actual custom muffler, would love if you fix this as im trying to mimic the J30A1 nd im very close

the ibishu pessima newest one, also would absolutely love if you added an "Old VTEC" to kick in at 3500 RPM to simulate the first ever V6 vtec as a small touch

i replied above as a quote on accident, but also as you suggested in october about changing the sound of the engine and exhaust with the vtec would be huge and if you'd want a sound to go off of to get close to V6 vtec noise the honda accord 98-02 accord coupe v6 has plenty of videos on it and the dohc vtec version the nsx has sounds for too. Hmm i wouldn't change the sound of the exhaust or something, but you can adjust the sound on your side. F11 then go to Window, Audio and Engine Audio Debug. There you can adjust the engine and exhaust. But sadly that override until you hard reset i guess? (ctrl + r)

about the old vtec i can write it on my list to do yeah. The sound i cant really change, but i have a idea with the lua that was mentioned some posts before. that the engine and exhausts get louder, maybe slight sound change, but i can't garantie that i will get that working. But it would be awesome for sure also the screamer pipe would be something like the vtec on lua.

maybe you could also think about adding a setting in the tuning slot for us to choose when the vtec kicks in 3500 and up or lower per say for another tip maybe a setting for how much toque and hp it adds and or just listing in the bio how much it adds , awesome reply btw and ty for the info on changing the audio debug i will look into that

 

okay so i finally found a way so you can understand the difference in sound. go to the 2.7L V6 engine for the 96 ibushi pessima and select just the *custom muffler* rev it up and hear the notes (more noticable in the back of the car, so the exhaust.) then switch to your RK custom engine 2.7L V6 and it'll keep the *custom muffler* on. rev it up and im sure you'll hear the difference it just doesn't sound like the new pessima by any means, just thought that was a tiny bug fix you should know about! your sounds essentially like a straight piped V6 with *custom muffler*, just wanted to correct that cause it does sound similer just a way deeper tone.

Me too until i compared and fixed the Turbo everything mod and saw those were missing xD

That would be so Hard to add them to every enginetyp in every Car. Also for some enginetypes there arent any models. And i cant really model myself

 

and about bring back the old transmissions? like 12 speed and etc

Wasn't really planed, but maybe a customizable trans changeable between automatic, manual, dct and sequential would be nice, also customizable gear Count

But before i make a custom transmission i would first work on a Diesel Version

 

I noticed some vehicles don't have functional muffling with this mod (legran, 800, K-series) and spent some time trying to fix them today. I think I found a solution for all three of them but I also found a few bugs along the way.

Legran:

Fixed muffling by moving isExhaust from node e4r to node e3r
Fixed some unrelated visual weirdness with the exhaust manifold on the V8 model by changing the slot type from legran_header_v6 to legran_header_i4

ETK-800 & K-series:

Fixed muffling by...

• Removing isExhaust from beam ["e1r","e4r"]
• Adding node ["exm1r", -0.2, -0.9, 0.27]
• Adding beam ["exm1r","e4r", {"isExhaust":"mainEngine"}]
This one is kind of messy because I had to add that node from the ETK exhaust manifold (etk_engine_i6_3.0_petrol.jbeam) since the custom engine doesn't have the manifold slot. I couldn't figure out why it doesn't.

Bugs I found, apologies if any of these were already reported:

• ETK800 & K-series have missing engine models (empty engine bay) for the V10, V12, and V16. The V6 is also missing for the 800 but not the K.
• The ETK800 does not have an exhaust pipe slot for the missing engines.

• Almost all of the Covet engines are permanently muffled (do not react to exhaust breaks), and have missing exhaust headers on the engine model. The only engines that don't do this are the i5 and V8.

• Searching "exhaust" in the parts selector on an 800-series with the V8 engine yields no results. I have no idea how. Searching "valves" or "header" will show the exhaust valves and the exhaust header.

Yeah thats why i made that mod. i wanted to give everyone a choice how to make the engine. if you want to replicate a honda i4, you can. but you also can make a 12liter v8 twincharged with absolut unnormal hp xD Or a V16 Quad Turbo Pigeon..
