No, you see, exterior textures are mirrored. So to make a fuel cap that wouldn't appear on both sides it would need extensive texture rework, it would break basically every mod, it would increase a lot the file size of each car, in the end it's just not practical. Unless the devs find a way to add it to only one side, but it's gonna need work, so no it's not gonna be a slight texture change.

Why can't they just physically cut out part of the mesh though, and add a common inner fuel filler model with shared textures below it for all cars? Won't require changing any textures at all

That's true, i guess they haven't bothered to do such a small thing for now.

The issue isn't as much with textures as it is with modeling. Any modifications to the cars model would require re-mirroring the car in blender to remove the fuel door, and then subsequently re-adding the fuel filler and door afterwards every time, and modeling every exterior modification that is affected by the fuel door twice. One for the side without it, and one with a cutout for the side with it, which would require two textures for each piece. Altogether that slows down the work flow and complicates things for a part of the car not many people will notice.

Sure, its not that hard to do, but upkeep with it is ultimately more difficult to do than when simply not including one, for such a small feature.

When in walking mode with traffic turned on, it always bothered me that I can get in and out of my own car but not any of the traffic vehicles.

Now I'm not sure if these vehicles are in any way simplified compared to the player's vehicle but it would be nice to have that ability.

There's an option to be able to, something like "enable switching to traffic ai" in the settings menu

Add asymmetrical hubcaps. A lot of cars I see daily have at least 1 missing or mismatched hubcap. The hubcaps section in wheeldata could be separated into hubcapL and hubcapR, and they would have separate slots.

Stop reposting this in every possible thread, it's probably not a problem with the game but with the crappy mods you downloaded

Another suggestion: Spotlights debug, shows spotlights as solid mesh that is normally visible during the day

Suggestion: make the driver camera node attached to the seat, not the body. This way different seats will have different seating positions, and in case of a crash the camera could fly out with the seat, or slam against the windshield, etc. I don't know how possible it is, and what would happen if someone takes off the seat, but i don't see any reason not to apart from that.

adding to that, make the camera move less when you've got a racing seat, and maybe even move more if you've got a flat bench seat.

The possibility to reduce the vehicles and level menus pictures size! I`d even like a simple list with small icons on a side. When you have a lot of mods navigating can be a little annoying.
