Cmon sir i feel in love with this editor... I hate the BNEditor cause it duplicates nodeees when opening some jbeam fileees... We need a beta downloadable version :) i hope i am not annoying.

I saw all of this videos with this editor and seems nice. It is waaay better than BNEditor. If soon won't be any release, when should i expect a beta, alpha or gamma release?

In my opinion, he can release some beta versions with bugs and update it regulary, to fix bugs. Is it a bad idea?

nah i agree with you but i DONT like bugs. although i am 99% sure that even if Angelo tries his best, there will be at least 2 bugs left because programming is hard

It's not a big problem, two or three bugs... While they are minor and don't affect jbeam developing too much to get weird nonsense nodes like BNEditor does&other bugs it's nice. And i agree with you too, i dont like bugs too, but i say again, if they are minor, it is a good choice to release a beta version.

You complain about BNE being buggy, and you still want a beta version of this that is probably even more buggy
    ?????

    Anyways... back on topic.

Could it potentially be possible to add multiple views? Something along the lines of how you can split the window in blender and then set up the render windows to be whatever sizes you wish?

And if not, then how about hotkeys on the numbpad to switch views? Again, similar to blender.

    7 - Top
    1 - Front
    3 - Right
    Ctrl+7 - Bottom
    Ctrl+1 - Rear
    Ctrl+3 - Left

Then perhaps 5 could switch between Perspective and Orthographic views.

I suggest these things as having used many a different editor over the years, being able to lock your view to an exact position and then changing to Orthographic perspective is a great way to catch things being accidently out of line. If you look at them in any other orientation, they look fine. This in the past has been known to be the source of vehicles not driving straight or reacting strangely over bumps because the suspension geometry was just the smallest bit out of wack, so looking at the structure in game, you would never notice it. Throw it into an editor with orthographic view though, and then the issue presents itself clear as day.

Again, these are just suggestions for things that I know have been useful in the past.

Could we have the option to move nodes and beams on only one axis at a time, for example holding CTRL brings up a set of arrows (ala blender) that you can drag to move the node and/or beam along that given axis.

Wow, with that tool you will bring modding on a whole new level. so many modders are struggling with the jbeam stuff or dont unterstand it yet (including me). great work, awesome!

I haven't added the ability to export to JBeam files yet though...
    --- Post updated ---
I've already added that a while ago. Or are you talking about moving the nodes in one plane? If so sure I could add that for the future.
    --- Post updated ---
I'm also learning about what the JBeam system is like in the process lol
