Yes the tutorial also works for the legran, however I still have to re-write the tutorial for the new lua code
The tutorial has now been reworked, The new Gavril Vertex Update will go online tomorrow! Have fun adding music to your LeGran! :3
I meant dev vehicles and other mods, but if they don’t have the lua code, how do you put the lua code on?
Just drop it into a mod folder with the correct file path (put the lua into a lua folder) and add the necessary controls
by some magical occurrence somehow i got the LUA files to turn into explorer links? that don't open either
Hello, I got a few questions regarding the music part of your mod here. So basically, for about 2 years, I've developing this comically large mod project for beam using automation based cars similar to this Vertex/Focus you're doing, only mine is focused around a campaign/scenario pack that has its own cars for it. (Think Need for Speed High Stakes but all the cars are GTA style fictional amalgamations of real life cars with there own brands and lore.) They all feature interiors, custom force feedback, a unique tire model, sound, and somewhat custom damage models. One of the features I wanted to include in this mod was an original soundtrack which one of my friends has already composed, but I couldn't really figure out how to add the music to the game, until I came across your mod. Essentially, I found a way to adapt your radio system to work with my cars, I even set it up so different cars have different music, (muscle cars play rock & metal, JDM has eurobeat, etc). So, I've come here to formally ask for your permission to use your radio.lua, imputmaps, all that jazz in my mod, you will of course be credited. If you say no, that's perfectly fine, I'll find another way to do this, but I will say I did spend quite a bit of time on this feature as I don't really understand lua too well, and I'm really happy with how it turned out so far. One thing I would like to figure out is how to make the playlist automatically go to the next song like a radio station, so if you know how to set that up I would be really grateful.
How did internet explorer set itself as default program for lua files?????? Well, manually set it to notepad++ or sth in your windows settings. Well, feel free to use it if you give credit! I wish you the best of luck developing your mod project :3
Thank you so much! I will definitely credit you! One more question, I've noticed that the music plays quite loud outside of the car and muffled in the interior view, is it possible to make it the opposite way, (music is muffled outside and sounds normal in interior view?)
I'm no expert but i don't think so, it's for this reason that even open-air interiors have muffled sounds in mods and in-game cars like the hopper when the soft-top is detached.
So I'm not the only one making a comically large mod like this... Except mine won't have music and it uses custom LUA, but vanilla cars with some custom props. No spoilers, just showing the amount of content lol, way more to come later
