Small thing, but the blinker in the Bastion is currently high-pitched noise=off, low-pitched noise=on. Have not checked other vehicles, but I know in America, it's usually the other way around. See this video as an example:
I don't think this one count as "slightly bigger". Not to mention that somehow every other car have jbeam matching model of the spoiler/wings... So I don't found those many cars that have slightly bigger areo jbeam. Bolide US gauges are pure black in shadows. Metric gauges looks fine. Also as on screen below UI lagged when I take screenshot so there is visible UI. Happens from time to time.
Her is another bug with Bastion blinkers. Then you switch left off and immediately switch right on, the right ones doesn't enabling from 1st try. Moreover, there are very long bug with localization still. Then the game starting in Russian keyboard layout I can't switch the blinkers (except hazard ones).
Sorry?... 1. You disable left blinker 2. You trying to enable right ones 3. Nothing to happen (except sound)
For me you press down the left blinker and press right to put it back up and then press it again to enable right blinker and visa versa.
There’s definitely something but none of us are using navigation app. Hope whatever this is gets a quick fix because it pretty much renders my mod useless as the moment
could someone confirm with me, this extremely small detail with the new bastion v8 model it seems as if the person doing the model forgot to apply the mirror and array modifier. if thats what they used. anyways, there is only 1 ignition coil.
This.... is an piece of art. My highest praise to the entire team! Bastion Bolide Bolide GTT This level of detail in the technical parts! The complex air ducts on the Bolide and the Bolide GTT. Awesome! More screenshots here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/comm...-post-an-image-of-beamng-drive.1141/page-5767 The temperature sign next to the engine heat display turns red when it gets to hot.
Not sure if it's been reported yet, but the jbeam for the Targa roof insert on the Bolide seems fairly unstable. A slight bump will start it vibrating, and it doesn't take much for it to fully ping free from the car. That said, overall the Bolide remaster is very impressive! It's cool to have a car with a survival cell design in a game with physics like this. I'm also curious how much effort it takes to maintain the handling when effectively rebuilding the car from scratch. Some of the other variants handle differently (presumably due to the new tires) but the 350 feels very similar to the old car.
On modern vehicles it tends not to upshift when it probably should, leaving your engine running at 3000 RPM at 15 mph sometimes. But what I find it really needs is some kind of smarter, more gradual throttle-based torque converter locking logic (as well as engine output or throttle-based shift points) so it shifts without the RPM jumping and doesn't lug the engine in 3rd gear on older 4-speed slushboxes. Manual shift mode causes rapid RPM fluctuations on some vehicles as well. I don't know what it's like with a keyboard or controller but with a wheel and pedals, it feels really stilted
I've noticed 2 things with beam automatics that hopefully can be looked at. The first thing is that newer automatics in particular are quite slow to react after sudden acceleration; specifically, they tend to hold whatever gear I'm in at the time, even though I haven't asked them to (i.e., not in sport driving mode, no recent history of spirited driving), and then slowly upshift gear by gear as if it's a sequential and not an automatic. While I can't say I have the same amount of experience you do, no automatic car I've driven behaves this way; instead, they quickly upshift to the highest reasonable gear short clip if needed: https://imgur.com/OipJoGf The second thing I've noticed is with DCTs (or at least the Sunburst's). Regardless of how gentle I am with the throttle, it refuses to shift to 2nd until 3,500 rpm. Once it gets into 2nd it mostly sorts itself out, but having what seems like a hard coded shift point just feels wrong hopefully what I'm saying makes sense x)
Disabled mods still showing up in vehicle browser for some reason: My existing configs for the bolide seem to have been deleted with the new update. Not sure if a bug or a consequence of the remaster. I suppose it's worth it because this new Bolide is freaking SICK! I would like to see more aero options for the Bolide if I was being picky. Right now the options are somewhat limited and highly dependent on what body parts are installed. For example, the GTT spoiler can only be used on the GTT bumper, even though it looks like it should fit on the rally bumper as well. I'm having to use the GTT bumper on one of my configs even though it touches the tire because I need the downforce, and it seems like the rally spoiler doesn't give much. This is a great update all in all. One thing that's disappointing is that the game now seems to run worse than ever for me. Reduced frame rates and lag are my biggest problems, and the game will freeze when loading levels fairly often. I keep turning down my settings but the game still doesn't run well. I remember it running much better in the past. Maybe the new vehicles and map upgrades are too much for my machine? I have Ryzen 5 3600, GTX1060 6GB, 32 GB RAM and SSD. Seems like it should be enough for a stable experience, but the game doesn't run very smoothly for me.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but i feel the parking brake strength on the Bastion is too weak and inconsistent. Most of the time it will not lock up the rear wheels unless i'm already sliding. I tried with sport, savage, drift, race assists, abs on & off. also tested with sport brakes and semi race pads, and race brakes with race pads.
The reworked bolide is basically a brand new vehicle in game, they even changed the name in the game's content folder, so that's why the old configs won't show up.
One thing I've noticed is that the Donk wheels seem very wobbly. On several different cars (including the new bastion) I have the 26" version equipped and they wobble quite badly when doing a burnout for example. This in addition to the fact that sport tires are the only option means that the donk wheels ruin the handling on all but a handful of vehicles. The newly remastered pessima, for instance, seems to work fairly well with them.
