Gavril is a seprate company that likely competes and would have a completely seprate competitor in this segment (Bluebuck or GM) with Gavril engines Wendover is a model of the Soliad brand and is not a brand. Soliad is a division of Bruckell, and would thus be the most likely to recieve a rebrand (albeit with an "upmarket" spin). Considering Soliad's comparable IRL companies, it might not amke it to the 21st century.
This is definitely doable, i don't think it would be enough to have a separate car but we could at least have a few configurations with Soliad badges, special grille, a more luxurious interior or chrome trims (just throwing some ideas)
For some, unusual speculation, in what ways do you speculate we’ll riot if the bastion doesn’t have a flat plane? /s
rioting online because a car in a video game doesn't have exactly what you want sounds like a terrible idea
A flat-plane crankshaft is useless for such a big and heavy car and is also too complicated/expensive for a $45-50k car. There's no need to reinvent the wheel here. The proven recipe of a big V8 with 2-valve OHV heads and a single camshaft is more than enough, with all the modern concessions of course (mainly a direct fuel injection system and a multi-speed Torque Converter automatic)!
The update was rushed, none of this would have happened if they waited like afew weeks to fix it. I expect at least the game to be perfectly playable, but some of the bugs cause massive inconvenience. The whole reason the update was "split" was because they were pressured by the kids crying in this thread. The devs need to ignore the kids and release an update with a "certain" amount of polish (basically the same amount as the other updates, idm bugs as long as the game is still perfectly playable). Remember, ive never disliked an update since 2013, im well invested into the game, this is the first one that has annoyed me due to the devs releasing a completely unfinished update. With the "Alpha" thing, yes I know its in Alpha, but the point is it has been since 2013, dont get me wrong, this is a good thing, it allows awesome updates frequently, ie italy, all the remasters, utah, etks, FCV, etc etc but this one is not it, its rushed and lacking for the 6 months wait we have had. The Bastion is fantastic, I cannot wait for it, but the 2 main things in the update are the UI (which is very unfinished and has a map mode that literally isnt used for anything as of yet so its not a useful feature [yet]) and a car (which we havent gotten yet), the remasters are cool yeah, but the Pessima is rather similar to how it was. Im not hating to be clear, its constructive criticism of this update. No ones perfect and sometimes an update isnt good (that goes for anything including beam). Hopefully the next update is an improvement and I am optimistic it will be. Its a blemish sure, but this criticism can help it not happen again.
The lightest spec LX Charger is only 40 pounds heavier than a GT350, and the Widebody Redeye Hellcat is like 10k USD more expensive. It wouldn't really fit the personality of the car, but as far as weight and price goes it's fair game.
Yes it is a bolide... That livery is already in the game and you can apply it to the bolide right now
have you used the map at all, like i'm serious, have you used it? the h-series remaster and the pessima remaster are both packed with stuff, i'm seriously convinced you haven't used anything new man
--- Post updated --- What the hell? Why does this not fit a modern sedan with clearly sport orientated model versions. Please enlighten me.
I believe that a flatplane V8 doesn't fit the Bastion because it's meant to be more like a traditional muscle car made in the current days (with a pushrod V8, lots of low-end torque and that sweet exhaust note that every enthusiast loves), not a modern supercar. But I am not gonna lie, it would be sweet if the devs decided to make a DOHC flatplane V8 version of the Bastion, like Ford did with the S550 GT350, hahahaha.
So far we've seen an unknown spec, a police car, and a widebody not-Hellcat with a roll cage. At least 2 of those are going to be rather brutish muscle cars, not a refined sports car where one would expect a high reving low torque engine. Personally I'm hoping we get a GT350/GT500 relationship where we get a sensible track focused top spec as well as a straight line high-hp top spec, that would leave room for a flatplane. Otherwise we'll have to wait for another modern American performance car for an affordable modern flat plane car in game, which could be years away unless the Bastion has/gets a sister. But in the two configs we know about a flatplane wouldn't make sense.
There are 3 (ish) kinds of V8s defined by their crankshaft layout and firing order- The main two are crossplane and flatplane. I am not exactly sure what specific firing order they generally use, but normal crossplanes growl and sound like your typical American V8. Normal flatplanes have a different firing order and sound smooth/raspy and generaly rev higher, like a Ferrari or Maserati V8. The third type is a flatplane that has another different firing order and sounds like a crossplane but with flair. That's what we are talking about. Examples: Crossplane Flatplane (Traditional) Flatplane (Alt) --- Post updated --- Its a joke You all should know this
Ffs everyone is jumping on the bolide hype train, for all we know it's still shelved and they're just trolling us with what they've already had done since 2019
I'd imagine they'd go for a V6, both since the ETKs already have inline-6s, and since the legran/wendover are known to use a GM-style V6, the [LORE] would suggest they would stick with such an engine in more recent cars.
