Update Speculation thread

Bastion is coming this month. There are no doubts about that. Also, don’t expect any other new content as devs CLEARLY stated there won’t be any other content.
The only hope is RV config for H-Series, because I think that’s manageable and community wants it a lot.

0.25
- Bolide is ~99% for the 0.25. I don’t see any other reasons for it to be delayed to other updates.
- My opinion ETK as well. It will be probably renamed and possibly the largest map to date as Germany is typical with their highway system. Yes, we have seen Car_Killers imgur and there was PBR ETK, but as he mentioned he is playing with mods and he also does PBR to his maps. So, it doesn’t have to be an official remake.
- probably 1-2 remasters:
- bolide is one
- moonhawk is the next most needed imo (inner textures, new body, etc)
- sunburst? More details, wagon version, all road (subaru outback, I know sunburst is based on Impreza but legacy and outback stuff would work with sunburst too), also I found sunbursts CoG a bit higher as it rolls very often for me
- grand marschal definitely needs finished its remaster and I would like to see crown vic facelift
- covet could have it’s own facelift for 00s, 4-door body
- etk 800 needs sedan version and maybe new facelifts; also etk 800 and k- series have ultra sensitive suspension and driveshaft to any kind of impacts; i think the problem with driveshaft is because it’s inside of the body and shaking is making a lot of contact with the body, which is funny because it is suppose to be more pretected compare to other cars
- T series there could many stuff added included new facelifts

New cars? We’ve got this year each major update a new car. 80s US, JP kei car, US modern muscle. There could be a chance for the new car next update. My long stretch idea is that it will be European and maybe sporty to fit bolides remaster 00s Civetta ?, rwd sedan?.

 

Don't forget the 200BX, it's pretty outdated and it could use some more engines

red is not likely, yellow is could possibly happen, orange is yeah, this is happening, green is confirmed
-Definitely the bastion, i can't see any reason it wouldn't come
-Bolide remaster
-ETKDEC pbr
-some little configs added here and there

 

I'm pretty sure Bastion comes in 0.24.3 or whatever, and the ETK center and Bolide (not so sure about this one, since this is the first time we see it as a teaser) would be a part of 0.25.

 

i definitely think the WCUSA mod with working lights will become vanilla in the near future, its not complicated. (reminder, it already exists as a mod). Same goes for rain physics and weather, if we saw wet driving in ETK DEC, then it might be possible. Cant wait for this game to reach version 1.00

that's a stretch tbh, I think it pretty obvious has inspiration to a modern American car (say the new Charger) but not a WRX.

 

I hate to say it, but the Bastion looks rather japanese to me. Perhaps I'm just out of touch.

 

am I the only one that thinks the front of the Bastion is kinda generic & boring looking? It also bears a resemblance to the ETK S series mod released a few years back.

 

I think it quite fits the American style. And i am excited to drive it.

 

Well its clearly based on a Charger, which isn't exactly unique

 

Charger was somewhat unique back when it debuted, and then everyone copied cues from its design when it took off. Now the Charger is getting killed.

 

The back of the Bastion reminds me of a Chinese car called the Link&Co 03.... I wonder why?

 

Good lord, that car looks like something out of a ricer's dream. Does bear some similarity to the Bastion though.

 

The H-Series could also have Concealed Flashers and an Unmarked, blacked-out H35 Police variant, like that of the Roamer.
The Moonhawk certainly is due for a remastering because the Donk config (which is great, btw), along with the new Bastion, shows that there's content helping it get rejuvenated!
The Sunburst, I think, needs its Inline-4 engines changed to the Flat-4s (with the only exception being the base 1.8 Inline-4 with the optional CVT) because we already have Ibishu using Inline-4s.

 

I feel like someone is going to make a rebranding mod for the Bastion. Probably wendover or gavril
