Or really, a 2000s European econobox, something that bridges the gap between the I-Series and 800 Series.

 

How about a Modern European van which are usually FWD? kill two birds with one stone. Give us a replacement for the H Series and give us a van that would fit better on Italy.

ATM i made a facelift H-series With a diesel ( even if it is a 6.0 V8 )
removed rear diff center to get FWD.


Also what new thing ( most new cars in beamng bring something new to the game ) WIll the bastion bring ?

 

i think the Bastion's whole thing is just gonna be "modern american muscle" and not much else. to be fair, it is something we need cause it fills another niche. that's what almost every beamng car has been doing, even the boring ones like the Pessima. they'll probably continue to fill niches (ex: Hybrid, Kei car, minivan, another horrendously ugly car, modern supercar, etc.) until they have almost everything accounted for.

 

I would be interested to find out the lore behind the Bastion's name.

Well I assume first they wanted to use "Tracer" but that was already taken for a later project, so then they thought of "Widowmaker" but that was already taken for a later project too

I wonder if that native Linux version is still coming soon, given the hint from BeamNG.Tech that it would in 0.24. Probably not an easy thing to do but I keep my hopes high.

Does anybody know if there was at some point an official assessment on whether a proper racing mode would come? With more than 5-7 cars and a proper AI that can overtake and avoid crashes, a leaderboard, fastest laps, etc.?

I love how you are indirectly saying that the AI sucks. But no, there has been no announcements that I know of.

 

i think the AI is great but sometimes a bit broken and im sure more improvements will come in the coming updates
and does anyone know of a full update log? like one with every little change described in it?

Well… I’m bored. What do you guys think the next update after the bastion release will have? I’m thinking bolide remaster and a big new map.
