Has anyone else spawned traffic and then not been able to tab through the spawned vehicles? I can only tab to the vehicles I spawned before launching traffic.
Would like to report two bugs regarding remastered pessima (midsize): The rear fender flare and gauge light is not correctly overlaid
That's because of the new option which is automatically turned on that disables the switching through traffic vehicles. It's in Options -> Gameplay -> in the "Traffic" section. "Disable vehicle switching".
since the new update if i click on the vehicle menu it takes over 2 mins just for it open and the game locks up until it does..this did not happen before the update so i have no idea what's going on .. also i cant set a default car since it just resets when you load a new map.
The update makes all UI custom app revert to factory stock, and unable to adjust height/width. The controller binding is partially messed up, have to rebind some of them. Unable to quit to MAIN menu, the main menu does not unload the map, all you can do is quit the game entirely or change map.
Yep, a very cool surprise, they added them to several cars, just look in the changelog. It should list "added underglow lighting" there, with all the changes for the different vehicles. Here, for example for the Sunburst The revamped street tuned config of the pessima has them equipped by default for example.
this interior color is a bit.. extreme for a 60's economy car its definitely not a "tan," its most definitely a peanut-butter at best and construction-cone orange at worst both the retextured '88 Pessima interior and the revamped '96 Pessima interior are incredibly glossy and most definitely need to be toned down. i cant tell if its McDonalds PlayPen plastic or faux leather or vinyl or something. if its supposed to be super clean, that makes no sense given the fact the interior glass textures for the '96 Pessima are frankly disgustingly dirty and also probably need to be toned down a bit. another minimal issue is the black void for the tape-deck and CD player this looks acceptable up close but gets exponentially worse the farther you zoom out id also suggest just lowering the gape on this bumper so you dont have to have a bulge where the bumper support is. it may look better, i dunno the Lionsharp easter egg is cool, but might have been better off as a little engine texture or warning label rather than a glass texture feature because its correct on one side ...but backwards on the other its also pretty damn low quality (due to the nature of glass textures) which just further feed my argument for it being moved to just one location on say, the underside of the hood. No other car, not even revamped ones, have glass company stamps on them either. where's the consistency in that? the various admittedly cool attempts at weathering the exterior of the car should have stayed in the concept phase for a few reasons: One- they are generally of low resolution and Two- they are in some just plain weird spots and arent consistent enough to have been worth including. its like you guys wanted to commit to making it look a bit used, but then backed out midway through. Given the fact literally no other car in the game shares the 'weathering' characteristics, whichever one of you put a halt to that deserves to be sainted and when i mean midway through, i dont think im wrong at all. just look at the right rear door. not only is the texture stretched to high hell, but the front doors and left rear door do not share any weathering at all right rear: right front: this weathering here feels out of place and is also low resolution this is incredibly obviously mirrored to the other side and as i said earlier, just shouldnt exist. it feels half-assed frankly, and hell, it might even be unintentional if the weathering was done to a higher, more polished and less intrustive standard, it would probably haven't even been something I thought twice about. the digital clock has dipped these textures on the doorhandles are unacceptably low quality given how much better the LeGran was done: this is not how rear defrosters work, where's the electrical connection to actually pump current through the copper strips? here's a GF Mazda 626 for comparison's sake: other notes: -disappointed at the lack of any badging past the "LX V6" trim on the '96 Pessima -in all honesty, the new UI wasnt something anyone particularly asked for to my knowledge, and even if it was heavily requested, this new one feels mostly like a step "sideways" rather than "forward" as ive heard it put. it has some nice new functionality, but is definitely an odd change, and is just as slow as it previously was. -with the updated UI being here to stay no doubt regardless, the old base-game gauge cluster UI app should get a fresh coat of paint to reflect the UI changes -the map thumbnails didnt change at all to reflect the beautiful new PBR textures.. but that might be coming with the ETK map revamp. all in all, with the new FFB improvements, PBR map textures, AI improvements, among lots of other genuinely good additions, everything i stated here are things i can overlook if it happened once or twice. However there's a lot of quality inconsistency with the new Pessima revamp as ive briefly outlined, and i know for a fact i am not alone in saying that. The only reason I'm even bothering to re-appear on the forums, let alone a discussion thread, is because this update left me wanting more. i know we will be getting more soon enough, but hindsight being 20/20 this should have been held off for a few more weeks to address what people are bringing up, and for a lot more beta testing and quality control. I'm only being this thorough because i care deeply about this game and its success, but with odd inconsistencies like this im kinda left feeling a bit gutted.
Also the number pad numbers will sometimes stop controlling up, down, left, and right movement for "no"reason.
Some people just want to share their experience, don't hinder what they want to say. People like those are what makes the devs learn what they did wrong
How are performance specs arrived at? The Pessima 2.7L LX V6 has 181hp and 184lb-ft of torque and gets to 60 in just 6.5s with a four speed auto??? The same vintage Saturn L-Series 3.0L V6 with 182hp and just 6 more lb-ft of torque got to 60mph in 7.6s according to MotorWeek. That makes more sense. 6.5s in the late 1990s with a V6 family car with 180hp is unrealistic. I just checked Car & Driver's archives, and a 200hp 1998 Accord V6 also got to 60mph in 7.8s, similar to the Saturn.
