I beg to differ. I'd say the character lines of the profile remind me of the Bruckell Moonhawk. Moreover, the car looks fairly large, the dash-to-axle ratio looks longer than that of the Sunburst (meaning that the new car appears to be FR, while the Sunburst has a very short dash-to-axle ratio and is FF) and the front grille is large and square, just like that of the Moonhawk. Therefore, I think the new car is most certainly gonna be a modern Bruckell Muscle Car.
If this car does turn out to be some modern version of the Moonhawk, it would raise the possibility of a Moonhawk remaster. If we say that the new car is a modern Moonhawk, then the perfect vehicle for it to be twinned with in the update would be a remastered Moonhawk. So under this assumption, I can speculate that either there will be a Moonhawk remaster in 0.24 coming with the new car, or the new car will be released in some future update. However, bear in mind this is going off an assumption that this car is a modern Moonhawk, and I don't think it is.
why do i feel like that the devs posted a pic of the remastered pessima and a van video just to throw us off because i don't think they would have a new car and three whole remasters in one update* *correct me if im wrong but i don't think they have ever done more than one remaster and a new car ever
I suspect the Wendover didn't take 9 years to develop (along with the Bluebuck which, allegedly, "took 7 years to develop"), it just was left aside because the Dev Team had more important things to bring in the game and to solve every bug found in the way of the game development process.
What i think. Dont hold me to it. is if the teaser is of the new car. Then chances update is very close. If its something else. I.E More van photos. Then i dont think so. IF there is no teser then i dont think there will be ANY update soon. as they will be polishing the update.
Making a joke without /s on this forum is like using an airsoft gun without the orange tip it'll be misinterpreted OT: Since it's highly likely we should have a teaser tuesday this upcoming week (assuming it's going back to every other week like before fridge teaser), what do y'all think we'll be updated on? This update seems to be packed with a lot of content assuming H-series remaster, 2nd gen pessima remaster and the new vehicle are coming in the same update. Plus stuff like the fridge teaser also *kinda* looked like there might be PBR added to some maps but I honestly can't tell Or do you guys think there might be more content (maps maybe?) I personally think that we're not seeing any more content in terms of vehicles, maps, etc as it's already a whole lot I recall tdev saying something about features when announcing that this update would take longer than normal (also not sure), so what about that as well? For me, I personally think that if the new car is coming in this update, we would probably be seeing more of it in the upcoming teaser
I guess I'll do my main speculation post now seeing as it's about that time again. I'm being less conservative with my predictions then usual as tdev himself has said that in this update they do want to work on "bigger things that do not fit into the 3 month update cycle", so I'm willing to entertain possibilities I otherwise wouldn't. This update is most likely going to be substantially larger than usual as it has more development time than previous updates, and also given tdev's statements. Very Likely: New Car - Although it hasn't gotten many teasers yet, Stenyak posted a series of tweets that clearly allude to the new car being in game, specifically test driving prototypes for it, and later confirmed that the new car was the car he was talking about. Pessima (Gen 2) Remaster - Teased with a new racing configuration and parts, very likely to be complete H-Series Remaster Phase 2 - Teased in a recent video, and a facelift was teased in October of last year. The scope of the remaster and its content is not known though. The H-Series has received substantial remastering work already in 0.18 and 0.19, so it likely didn't have as far to go as other vehicles. Fridge - Appears complete, and as a prop it's likely not very complex anyways. Likely: Level Content - The level team is almost certainly working on something, but we don't know what. There are a number of possibilities. I doubt it'll be multiple things, maybe two max if we're extremely lucky: - ETK Driver Experience Center Remaster - One of the last remaining untouched maps, ETK DEC is definitely showing its age. It may get the remastered treatment that other maps have received, or it might wind up like Port and be merged into a larger map if one is added. - Cliff Remaster - Another untouched map, Cliff is also showing its age. If Cliff gets remastered, there are a wide variety of possibilities, but we don't know anything yet. - Jungle Rock Island Retheme/Update - Explained in detail here here, this is another possibility, but there is no new evidence for this since the writing of that post. - Completely New Level - Although there is no evidence of this, for all we know there could be a new level in the works. A new map is really needed at this point, as the last completely new map added to the game was Italy back in 2018. One possibility is a new German map that integrates the ETK DEC into it much like how Port was integrated into Industrial Site, which would both add a new level and also do something with the ETK DEC map. Various Smaller Content/Game Improvements - This is an update after all, so this is par for the course. Possible: Vulkan Improvements/Linux Support - Vulkan Rendering was added in the last update, and is obviously a work in progress. I'm sure that it will see improvements in the next update. Linux support has been discussed a number of times recently, and could be made possible through Vulkan, however it's unclear as to how long this would take. New UI - Teased back in 2018, some sort of new UI is in the works. This is really needed as the current UI is extremely unoptimized. However, we have had no word on it recently, so there isn't really any evidence for it showing up in this update. Early Career Mode Prototype - Career mode has been in development for ages, and could be one of the "bigger things" in development. Grand Marshal Remaster Phase 2 - If there are any additional remasters beyond the two we know about, the GM is one of the most likely candidates. It already got its Phase 1 remaster back in 0.17.1, so it doesn't have as far to go as compared to other cars. New Car Platform-Mate/Sister Car - As BeamNG does like to use its vehicle platforms for as much as possible, we could see the new car expanded upon. While alternate bodystyles on the same body might not be super likely given its design, at least in my eyes, there is the possibility for a second car sharing a lot of the same components alongside it. Some examples of this include the D-Series/Roamer (which at one point used to share a selector slot), LeGran/Wendover, Pigeon/Wigeon, and probably the best example of this being the 800/K Series. Given the design of the new car, it could have a smaller, 2 door cousin on a shorter wheelbase (like the Challenger is to the Charger), or it could have a larger, crossover cousin (like the Maserati Levante is to the Quattroporte on the same wheelbase, or the Ford Explorer is to the Taurus on a larger wheelbase). If a sister car was added however, while it would share a lot of same components that are on the sedan, it would most likely have its own selector slot. However, we do need to remember that adding something like this would take a lot of time and hasn't been confirmed/teased, so it's best to leave this solely as a possibility. Unlikely: Civetta Bolide Remaster - Although a remastered Bolide has appeared in the teaser for the remastered Industrial Site last year, and it appears in some menu backgrounds and loading screens in 0.23, Stoat has said that it is not coming immanently as it is only remastered to the "old standard", back before the scope of vehicle remastering grew to what it is now, and it is not up to the new standards as a result. However, he has said that it will happen "when its turn comes around".
Spoiler: example Level Content - The level team is almost certainly working on something, but we don't know what. There are a number of possibilities. Disregard, then
I didn't notice it reset it on my post too, I heavily indented them too, but it undid it for me as well.
i really want this to end up being a company that no one suspects like a Cherrier or a Civetta. i think it'd be amazing if the dev team just fucking dunked on us like that.
I generally agree with this entire post, but I think that Vulkan improvements are extremely likely. Not sure about Linux support though. I remember the devs stating that they were going to make Vulkan the primary renderer and DirectX would be legacy, so I'd assume it'd be a priority for devs. (might be wrong though)
