for alternate bodystyles, a coupe feels kind of too obvious, and the wagon has already been done with the legran, I'm wondering if it's going to get a weird aerodynamic liftback bodystyle.
Just because the Wagon has already been done with the LeGran doesn't mean it's not possible. After all, we have no Japanese Wagons in the game, not to mention that the real counterparts of the Pessima had such a body style in their options lists, not to mention also the characteristic styling differences between the Pessimas and the LeGran! The 5-door liftback is also possible although, judging from the fact that the Pessima only has an MPH gauge cluster, I don't know exactly how popular this body style was in the USA (my guess is not at all).
I remember The Last ALL new car ( other then Wendova Witch we know about since 2012. . AND the pigeon Based wigeon. The Vivace wanted to be a hirochi AFAIK? So you may be right on that. SO maybe no V8s maybe its a range of Silky Inline 6's OR more morden V6s. With a inline 4 if you like that to.
I want to believe it's American because I want a modern powerful American car, but idk if it's a Hirochi it will be fine too. I wonder if the content creator program people already have this car and are reading through this thread and laughing, they are not allowed to say anything about the update though so we can't ask them
Yeah, it must be so amusing for the beamNG team watching us banging our heads trying to decipher every little information we have
My prediction is its a garvil. I said it earlier, but the styling has been compared to a charger and it looks like a garvil as someone said earlier --- Post updated --- Someone pointed out the garvil like design here and it has more parts garvil then parts hirochi.
Yep, gavril is very possible too, and it will be good for the brand since there aren't any new gavril's currently. I would say either gavril or hirochi. Hopefilly we will know next week
If, it's an American vehicle, I would bet it's a Gavril. Bruckell just doesn't fit the design IMO. --- Post updated --- And it's also infuriating for us end users who can't even get a simple response from any of the developers about a simple question. Hey devs, is the new car a muscle or sports sedan? No response Hey devs, is the new car powered by a V6 or a V8? No response (add in all of our other endless speculations/questions) Yes, it must be amusing watching all of us endlessly argue and speculate on the limited stuff they give us. It's an update, not a new game. No reason to hide a few words from us so close to release. Idk anymore xd, nothing else to speculate on, so mods, why not just lock the thread? All it is now is speculating on repeats of stuff we already know, and it's not like the devs are giving us any information or hints to confirm our speculations. I'm outta here until the update comes out, or the devs finally give up some kind of info. Literally, nothing to speculate about now lmao. I'm just getting a little antsy and frustrated. It does not take long to simply type a few words. Hell, I typed all of this in a couple of mins on my phone, not even on my computer. Ridiculous.
They can either not tease us anything and just release it when it's done and then you will know that they were working on a new car or they can give us a hint so now you atleast know vaguely what is going to happen in the next weeks/months. Which one do you prefer?
The first one would bring massive community backlash, both on Steam, Discord and here, which won't work for them at all. The second one is very mildly annoying to the end-user when the fact that hundreds of games/communities have zero qualms with showing what they are working on for future updates. So, either or. Hurts me less than it hurts them. I already said my piece above, not repeating myself again. - "No reason to hide a few words from us so close to release."
What I find a bit infuriating is that there are probably people in the Creator Program that probably know exactly what is in this update that are looking at this thread, and yet they can't say anything because they are under a NDA. But yeah, I call that the new car is either a Hirochi, a Cherrier, or a new lore.
imho if they told us everything, we'd have nothing to be excited for. There'd be no mystery to unpack, no surprise features for us to be happy. If they told us nothing, then we'd wouldn't be excited, and jumping for an update. I remember when I first got the game, I didn't follow the forums, and was thus never excited for updates. They just came, and they were cool, but I often didn't care too much. Following the forums rather closely nowadays, I find it fun to see what's in store, but be left to guess, and also be surprised when new things come that I did not expect. I think the BeamNG devs have bridged that gap, and I think they do rather well. I am reminded of another game that I often follow, one called 'Open Sewer'. It's in the midst of a rebuild right now, and I have found that the occasional screenshots we get are much more rewarding than a tour of everything before the game is released. Why do they do that? Well, should something prove impossible, no one is disappointed, because no one expected it. Open Sewer's developers do this rather well, in my opinion. We have a reasonable idea of what's coming. Firstly, we get a brand new, modern car*. We get a remastered Pessima. A (finally ) remastered van. A refrigerator. And yet I suspect more is around the corner. And I suspect that we will only know about it this coming release day. But we have an idea. The developers cannot be blamed for not being fully transparent. If the aforementioned Open Sewer devs were to go back on a promise for a legitimate reason, a grand total of perhaps 20 people would be disappointed, but they'd likely understand it, and hold no hard feelings. Here, that may be much worse. I suspect that this new car, while nearing completion, is unfinished yet. It is not ready for a full-photo reveal. Or, as I feel is more likely, it is waiting for Tuesday to make it's grand entrance in a twitter post. But I would be very reluctant to hold them to a standard of full transparency. Frankly, I think that due to the lengthened cycle, we are all more than ready for this next update. I know I am. But you can't rush genius, and you can't spoil the suprise. *if the next teaser tuesday does not feature a more thorough reveal of this car, I am reluctant to say outright that it will be an 0.24 feature TL;DR: You aren't entitled to know exactly what you're getting for Christmas in November.
