this is kind of amazing pessima mk2 revamp pessima mk3 thing van remaster probably tons of wheels maybe even some moonhawk content
Is it possible its just some tuner/ricer grille? We have only seen one config, and there is no clue whether that represents the whole remaster. Yall are in a twist about a highly customised van that might not even look like any others. IMO we will probably see a more grounded, rugged look for some workhorses.
Well yeah, but so were most cars from 1980-2005ish. If they made it look not ugly it wouldn't be realistic. BTW, the reason most cars got ugly in 1980 was new US safety sanctions and regulations that meant all the old design standards basically didn't work. Then everyone thought sharp corners were "futuristic." In the 90's they started getting bulbous and bubbly like they had cancerous tumors growing on them. Kind of continued into the early 2000's until ford basically stole design cues from Aston Martin.
I also like it. It looks cartoonish because of the paintjob and the big wheels (and, to be honest, I believe the devs wanted the version they showed in the video to look a bit cartoonish), but I don't think the front end looks bad. And I can't wait to use this ground effects bodykit in the Dajiban inspired configuration I saved a while ago.
Rockstar has been adding cars near identical to their real world counterparts in GTA 5 lately and they are just fine. Not that I'd want a bunch of rebadges anyway, but I think as long as you don't include the companies likeness you'll be fine.
You're not alone! I really love it too! It has a certain early-2000s Pimp-my-Ride vibe on it, especially when combined with the other details we see in the teaser! Tbh, I can't find a single BeamNG car to be ugly, even if some of them have eccentric styling/design choices (the greenhouse design and the head-/taillights of the FCVs, the whole front fascia of the FCV Tograc, the head-/taillights and the wheels of the eSBR models and also the wheels of the FCV Tograc QE for example - personally, I like all of these details very, very much, they are full of character and charm)! Even bland cars like the Pigeon, the Pessima and the H-Series (which are bland by design, just like the eccentric cars are eccentric by design, at least in this game) have their own special charm! If anything, all this content and all these details show that the BeamNG Team has oodles of inspiration and they all want to make us happy by thanking us for showing our support to the game! So be cool ma dudes!
I personally love that the devs don't just modify the cars looks enough to avoid copyright, but they are creative with both styling and engineering. The look of the van is not growing on me, hope lower trims have a unique work truck fascia.
But if a Michelin Star chef is asked to make a Whopper, it shouldn't be criticised for being a Whopper. They're clearly capable of designing good looking cars, but it's common understanding that 90's cars that have been facelifted towards the end of their lifecycle in the early 00's look a bit goofy.
Yeah the BeamNG cars are all pretty much perfect in there own state, there are some small exceptions, but all in all 9.5/10 for the content of this game. And i really wonder wich brand the new car will be: Autobello- Almost no chance. Autobello is not known for any more than small cars in the 50s-70s Civetta- Unlikely. But i think it doesnt look sporty enough for an Civetta. ETK- Possible. Altough there are already 2 pretty new cars on that brand. Bruckell- Possible. It could get a Bruckell. There are no evidences. Soliad- Unlikely. Soliad also does not have any evidence for or against. Altough i think it is Unlikely because the main Manufacturer (Bruckell) does just have 2 cars on its own. Cherrier- Guys Probably not. And if, it would be pretty lame to have 3 modern cars of a brand where we know nothing of the past. Ibishu- Unlikely. Because the design of the car does not look like a modern Japanese car. Gavril- Likely. I think one of the highest chances for it is beeing Gavril because its "design" matches the Gavril Product line well. Hirochi- Unlikely. Hirochi does already have 3 recent Cars. and on top, it still doesnt look japanese... Burnside- Likely. It matches the company to 100% (Luxurious cars from Gavril.) So this is technically the highest possibility. Let me know your thoughts on this. and sorry for my bad english...
That's what we all love in BeamNG and that's also what defines this sim! The mix of real and imaginary (dunno if this is the correct word) details is an art form for every eagle-eyed car lover, it has our eyes and brains constantly active! (By saying "eyes and brains" I also answer to someone who, about 45 days ago, when the new car teaser got out, wrote that "Anyone who associates BeamNG cars with real cars is blind" or something like that. Well, guess what pal! )
Not sure if its been mentioned before but on both the pessima racing teaser and the ricer van, both sets of wheels are centrelock, which could mean that there is a new category of racer/ricer wheels. Idk if this is a stretch but tyre wear??? As these wheels are normally made to be quickly interchangeable on pitstops.
The race wheels on the Pessima are center-locks but the rice wheels on the H-Series are not - it's just a center cap for covering the lug nuts. Watch the video very closely and you'll see the circular bond seam of the cap!
