Update 5 time! Contents: New tracks: SNES Rainbow Road, N64 Mario Raceway (Wii), GCN Peach Circuit (DS) This update is kinda small because I'm having issues with the other ones I am working on. Also, because of this and school starting back up updates will probably get a little less frequent unfortunately. However, the courses are still pretty fun, Peach Circuit makes for a surprisingly good drift track. Known issues: SNES Rainbow Road looks bad because of the filtering BeamNG puts on textures, GCN Peach Circuit trees have no collision
As someone who grew up on Mario Kart, seeing them in this game is just amazing. Thanks for being back some of my childhood
I will after I get luigi circuit to work, but also for somereason mario raceway (probably one of the best ones for racing) on the hairpin it just doesn't want to make it a real hairpin --- Post updated --- also do you have a discord? I can stream it to you on discord --- Post updated --- found the problem, it's the banking, i'm going to keep it on the flat parts when I redo it
Pool time! Which would you guys prefer for platforms that move side to side, like in Grumble Volcano or Toad's Factory: A collision mesh that is as big as the distance it moves, so it animates but there will be times when you will be floating on nothing or a stationary model that isn't animating, but has an accurate collision mesh
stationary could be nice but I kinda want an animated one that you can only land on the part that is actually there, but that might me a hard thing to do
As far as I know, that would be impossible unless it's a prop with a Jbeam. Unfortunately the engine does not support animated collision meshes yet. If I could, I would totally do it, but for now it's a pick-your-poison type situation.
Actually, N64 rainbow road and waluigi pinball are already in game! Rainbow road needs a skybox made and some uvs fixed, while waluigi pinball has a lot of issues and things that need doing. If I had time I could probably finish up rainbow road, but unfortunately I don't.
Yeah, but very slowly. Personal life stuff has been giving me very little free time, and I lost a good amount of files a bit ago so that set me back.
Apologies if you have already had these answered: What I need help with: -How do you add AI to a map? Just lay road decals and set the drivability to 1. The AI will then drive on them. If you don't want them to show up, just set the texture to glass_invisible, or create a texture with no image to use. -How do you add time trials to a map? Cheers
Merry almost Christmas! As a present to this community, here's 3 more maps! Sorry this took a while, life's been a bit busy. However, I really want to keep working on this and eventually get all the courses in still. New courses: Airship Fortress, Nintendo Gamecube, Sherbet Land Gamecube and Airship Fortress have been in progress for forever but had a bunch of issues. I also made sure to get a nice festive map out, good luck racing in such slippery conditions!
