Im not sure about the forester and etk but the suburst hawkeye was definitely a good quality mod. The etk and forester does look really good though and there was a video of the forester by crash hard the crashing physics, suspension etc seemed to be good. If they were really stolen which he shouldnt have done, i dont think most people would really care. Many people were probably really excited for the mods and suddenly they were all just gone. I dont really believe that he stole the models cause he seemed like a good modder, he made custom configs and parts for the forester, made the etk facelift mod, and the k series roof mod. idk if theres proof of him stealing cause i didnt read all the threads but they definitely dont look stolen to me. ( & )
That's kind of a weak point if you ask me. In the development screens thread there was someone who showed that the polyflow was basically the same as a sketchfab model. There might be further proof but i don't know any of it.
It's literally why he was banned, there is hard evidence that he stole multiple models. Just because "no one would care" if he stole the models doesn't make it okay to just brush it under the rug like it never happened.
Hey that was me! Yes, i can confirm that the polyflow of his model and This exact model from turbosquid are identical, while the one used by jsz has been reduced in polycount: https://www.turbosquid.com/de/3d-models/3d-subaru-forester-2019-1307492
Iirc he did move around a few nodes to make foglamps or something like that (for the sunburst facelift)
Well, looking here, the JBEAM is unedited. Although, it has the same issues the vanilla Sunburst has, like some spyking on crashes. It's not that bad, but it could see some improvement.
Yeah. I hadn't paid attention to that detail. Although, at least it crashes fine (at least as fine as the vanilla does) and it looks really good. It definitely does not look like a lazy meshslap, especially details like the taillights (work like they were vanilla), badges and other things. I've seen worse mods that weren't meshslaps.
Idk from your screenshots it looks like the taillights don't break so probably he just found a model that had good taillights modeled by default and just made them work, it can't be THAT hard. Badges are probably easy to make for an experienced modder too.
Actually they break, but, apparently not on all crashes. Since the jbeam wasn't designed around those taillights, probably the way I crashed didn't hit the right beam to break it. I mean, the model is really good. If it was jbeamed, it would be almost perfect. Anyway, for a meshslap it looks really good. The stolen person is really talented on modeling. For me it is better than any mod from Russian websites.
I did not know it was stolen when I made these videos, I thought he was a fantastic modeler, who made them from blueprints. So I was so excited to make videos of the mod. Have not touched it since. So sad the whole mess.
