Well, that's what happens when Brexit hits and all your truck drivers get deported. Covid doesn't help on top of that. Fuckin' Tories. ...supposedly, anyway. Can't trust the news these days.
americans whining about fuel prices that are on average still less than half what they are in the rest of the world is endlessly funny to me, especially with higher incomes on average too locally to me, regular E10 95 is like £1.34/L, or somewhere around $7.00 USD /gal and my car on average gets like 25-30mpg if i'm lucky
I'm sorry man, but some of us still aren't exactly overflowing with money, and a 50% increase in gas prices for me is $20 a week. That's a $20 I would rather spend elsewhere, you know? I get roughly 18 mpg in a four-banger - eight sparkplugs though, so I'm with you there!
oh no! you spend on fuel in a week what most europeans do in a day woe is you... for reference, i have a 16 US Gallon tank which costs around $110-120 to fill completely, and again, sub 30mpg
Think about it though. You make it so unecononomical to travel yourself the general public have to rely on taxed public transportation. It's absolutely brilliant in terms of political strategy. Overcharge then pocket the remainder. Of course, Europe also imports most, if not all, petroleum/diesel/oil for use in everything from heating to transportation, so there's some massive cost associated with that. The US and Canada have the resources to drill and manufacture on native soil to help offset imports, thus making fuel cheaper. These are things you have to keep in mind. I sure as hell couldn't afford to fuel a V8 Jeep in, say, the UK, for example. Of course, it's still about $80 for me to fill up my Mustang with premium fuel. Making $15 an hour working in IT makes that a little difficult from time to time. You both make compelling arguments.
Hey. I'm not going online for the next few weeks. I have a surgery at my arm soon. Yeah i know it's kinda sad but it must be done. Bye. Blub
Yesterday i found out my Retonitis Pigmentosa (its hereditary) is starting to progressively eat away at my eyesight, something that for most people who suffer from this disease doesn't usually happen until their middle age. Right now my central vision is fine but over past year and half i've lost nearly a quarter of my peripheral vision according to my doctor. It is his conclusion that ill be blind anywhere within the next 4-5 years. What a fun thing to find out
While stuff like that sucks big pee pee a ton, there is a silver lining. When you know something very valuable to you is limited, it helps you appreciate it more. It humbles you and let’s you be grateful for you having it now because you know soon it will be gone. In the future, you’ll probably be able to get your sight back anyways. (At least at the rate of tech right now)
Oh man, I feel so bad for you. However, there is a device here that might give you your sight back when you lose it. Unfortunately, it is most likely extremely expensive. In the meantime, just enjoy your sight while you can. Take a stroll on the beach, look at the sunset. Get out there and enjoy as much as you can with your eyes. Even a stroll around your neighborhood would be a nice to cherish memory within the next few years.
All things i plan do to do, plus more. Dont feel sorry for me, its just how it is and theres no point fretting over it, you only get grey hairs by fretting over things that are inevitable. But speaking of enjoying things whilst i still have my eyesight; Whats a good site for purchasing American cars? the usual sites here in Australia yield only poor quality or extremely high priced or immensely common American cars. Im looking to purchase overseas and just having it shipped, even with shipping costs and registration (which i dont even need considering i can just get day permits on demand!) its often anywhere between 20-30k cheaper than buying on home soil! --- Post updated --- Also im leaving Beamng, just lost the little pin that holds the arms to the bottom of my wheel, plus my desire to own and drive an early sixties American car is just not fulfilled enough by the Bluebuck. I doubt anyone else wants another fullsize of that era, and I'm just losing interest in gaming all round nowadays. Its been nice to be here for all these years, to see people and things come and go, and now it is my turn to go. Goodbye all
