Can you test it with some lower rmp? ( approximately between 1,8k and 3k) to ear engine sound from a more casual driving style.
Someone else who has a controller or wheel with pedals would have to record that. (I have a wheel but pedals don't really work)
i use my phone, which lets me have analog everything using sliders and accelerometer, but my laptop is shid for recording lmao
Ok, I'll test it with G27 when the update will be out ^^ Oh, and last question: Do the different engines (600ccc, 650cc and maybe others) have different engines sounds? (or a pitched/tweaked sound instead?)
600 and 650 have the same sound, irl they are practically indistinguishable, not worth making separate sounds for them. Z-1/30 engine kit changes the sound noticably by shifting the RPM range a lot (higher idle and peak RPMs). F2 has Autobello sound settings but with SBR4 samples. Abarth and Supersport have highly customized SBR4 sounds set up by SKB, they sound really cool, I won't record a separate video with them yet.
Thank's for make it clear I don't have a lot of knowledge in beamng sound system, but SBR4 doesn't have a too heavy engine (2.5L flat4 from memory) so that the sound matches with a tiny engine like this? ^^
There's a bit of "sound lag" that I assume is from the recording software rather than the sound samples, but other than that they will be helpful. SKB is making a larger video with the mod progress overview because I think most people forgot a lot of the features I added lol, and definitely most people don't expect how much is still unfinished.
i am working on recording a few videos.. will take a while, since my phone doesnt want to edit for some reason, gonna have to use the laptop... this will be p a i n lmao
Deformation is still not the best but a lot better than before. That's not only because it was my first time (scratch made areas need the most improvement), but also because the model is very high poly and has bad polyflow, also some verticles are offset a bit and/or not merged properly, and many things are see-through when broken. But still it's better than the old Jbeam, no more big spikes. EDIT: I forgot about the obvious improvements: frontal collisions are accurate to real life and the doors deform properly.
