Speaking of Ken block, there was an earlier version of the S550 mod (I have it by the way but I don't think it works anymore) that had AWD available. I know, not "realistic" since Mustangs never had AWD but it was a blast to play around with it. With a few other tweaks it made for the fastest Police Pursuit car I ever saw in the game. I couldn't come up with anything that would outrun it. Since I see a Transfer Case slot in the parts menu maybe the AWD parts are still in there but just commented out? I've tried comparing the 1517Mustang files with the S550 files to try and turn the AWD back on but there were too many changes for me to figure out myself. Any chance of adding it back in?

EDIT: Just tried it and the 1517mustang does still work on 0.22.3 but the textures are all messed up.

What I liked about the old version was the old skins, they were really cool, it would be cool if more stuff from old version was added back

As a reminder, if you followed my previous steps to fix the paint issue and it remains, then there is nothing I can do to help you. There is most likely something on your end that is preventing you from using the updated mod correctly, since all other people either reported no issues initially or were able to fix the paint issue after following my steps.

With that out of the way, I'll answer some more questions:

I've been hesitant with adding AWD to the Mustang, and for good reason. Traditionally, pony cars and muscle cars have been strictly RWD, and the only vehicle in its class to offer AWD is the Dodge Challenger (as well as the Charger). Even then, this alternate drivetrain is only available on V6 engine models. However, given that Ken Block has driven the AWD-powered Hoonicorn in the past, there may be a chance that a recreation of this one-off Mustang be made in the future, and with it also the AWD powertrain. In other words, yes, it will be in my upcoming plans, but with a caveat.

I might add a drift steering option to go along with the planned Hoonicorn configuration in the future.

In regards to answering you and gsk11740, I have the older builds of the S550 Mustang mod archived on my computer. I have taken a look at the previous versions, and so far, there are a few bits and pieces that can be repurposed for my updated version of the mod. Expect those to be carried over soon :D

I was just thinking about the AWD as an "unrealistic" option for those of us who like to play around with stuff like that. I know Ford never made an AWD Mustang in real life (although maybe they should have?) and that Dodge is the only ones making AWD production cars in the US iirc. One of my favorite creations is a LeGran with AWD, race suspension and tires and a V8, courtesy of another mod out there. The Legran is based on the Olds Cutlass Ciera I believe and GM never made an AWD version. They are just fun to mess around with.

First off, an amazing update to an already amazing mod. I've noticed the 5.2L Voodoo Engine has a new sound, and it sounds phenomenal, so I was wondering are you planning to update the 5.0L Coyote Engine's sound as well? Also could you change the brake models? The overall quality isn't that good (which I can live with it that's fine they're not terrible) but the slight problem is when you choose Race Rear Rotors it will clip through the rim due to it's size on the hub or something.

Hey, awesome mod, just wanted to report a small bug! for some reason some of the body panels (the front fenders are the most notable) get misaligned with the rest of the body when you start driving the car around. They don't seem to be loose (they don't go flapping about) just slowly start getting out of place when you drive. some pics to show what i mean:

Yes, I am aware of this issue. That is due to minor instabilities within the JBeam structure, as previously mentioned. To quote, "Some JBeam issues, such as minor instability, persist here and there." Other than the fenders, the front end where the front bumper and hood meet also has a somewhat noticeable gap. I tried to address said JBeam issues just before releasing the updated version of the mod, but with limited success; hence, this is why I have asked for any assistance regarding this.

The Coyote and Voodoo engine sounds were sourced from Forza Motorsport 7; I believe I made some tweaks to both sounds in an attempt to closely match the ones in that game. While I was satisfied with the latter, the same cannot be said for the former, though it was somewhat close to what you would hear in FM7. I may switch to other sound samples for the Coyote engine if better ones exist. As for the brake models, I have considered adapting the universal vanilla ones to replace the existing Project Cars meshes; I am still experimenting with that at the moment.

Thanks for providing some additional feedback :)

In terms of Jbeam, there's also the police parts that need a whole new Jbeam because the current one is terrible on them.

Many people are having this problem. A few pages back baarry5444 made a list of things to try to fix the non colorable paint. See if it works because it doesn’t for me.

The second update for my updated version of the S550 Mustang is now live with the same download link on page 43. This update includes the following changes:
    • Much of the minor JBeam instability issues at the fenders and front end have been addressed. Special thanks to @Raging Midget vs Gaming for providing the much-needed fixes ;)
    • Adjusted license plate positions for all bumpers. In particular, the European license plates have better fitment.
    • The police light bar now detaches from the body. Its JBeam structure has been improved as well. (No changes for the push bar yet, but that will be coming in another future update.)
    • Added back the Shelby GT350R steering wheel from the older builds; variants include the Shelby GT350 steering wheel without the red accents, and the Shelby GT500 steering wheel with paddle shifters. Some of the wheel options and a few other minor bits and pieces also make a return.
To check if you have the latest version, spawn any of the Shelby configurations (GT350, GT350R, GT500) and look for the Cobra-badged steering wheel. If it's there, then you're all set. And as always, please remove the previous version and clear all traces of the mod before installing the updated version.

Thank you for the feedback so far, and enjoy the mod :)
