I've noticed that there's a working speedometer gauge, but it's barely visible. I also noticed that the instrument cluster texture was very compressed. So, I replaced the compressed instrument cluster texture with a less compressed version from carface80's updated Caprice mod. It may look a bit scuffed if you view the texture in a photo viewer, but it looks fine in-game.

When I find out how to change the needle from grey to orange, I will reply to this post with an updated ZIP archive file.

enjoying the progress of this mod!
    Edit:
The mod works fine after clearing cache, however, the vehicle makes a loud crashing sound on reset, and the suspension sounds are loud and very off sounding...
When driving on straightaways, these are unnoticeable

I haven't found a way to fix that; I will contact the mod creator to see if we can figure out a way to eliminate this "crashing sound" conflict.

Those look better than the actual Impala SS of the 90s, to be honest.

Personally, i like the 94-96 bodystyle rather that the 91-92 because of the removal of the rear wheel skirts and it came with the more powerful LT-1 engine

Personally, I've never liked the 95-96 body style because of the weird back windows but I do like the 1994 Caprice because it has the LT1 engine but it still has the same exterior styling as the 1993 Caprice.

YES! very much agreed. I like the 94 b/c its got the same C-pillar windows as the 91-93 minus the wheel skirts but with the LT-1. I plan on selling my 09 Crown Victoria within the next few months and I am seriously considering buying a 94-96 CC

Thought ide give the stock wheels different types of white wall tires. To do this your self you go into the TXT folder in the mod and replace the original photo with the modified one (make shure the replacement file is named the same: tire_new4). its not perfect but its the best I can do

NOTE: to change tire type, you have to replace the images manually in the TXT folder!

The next (unofficial) version of the 1992 Chevrolet Caprice is here! With new higher-resolution textures, a working column gear stick, a working speedometer (still needs improvement), and more! A special thanks to Zepherius for fixing the column gear stick and adding some new optional configurations to the front suspension! Please note that this mod is far from complete and that there's tons of room for improvement. Since I do not have any experience with BeamNG.drive modding, please do not reply to this post with bugs. Anyways, enjoy this unofficial update!

For a very long time, the model year for this mod was always mislabeled as a 1991 Caprice when in reality, it was a 1992 Caprice because it lacked the black door pillars of the 1991 Caprice. Today, I have fixed this issue. I have finally added black pillars to this Caprice, finally making it have the proper model year.

If you want to have the most up-to-date version, then sure. It's your choice, not mine. It's always a good idea to back up the old version when you are updating to the new version of the mod, though.
