WIP The Other GridMap

I am completely new to Map modding but I got something running.
So far I am pretty pleased with the result.
I might someday upload it, when the map is in a state that it can be shown.

Its going to be a mix of a few Ingame maps. East Coast, Jungle Rock Island, etc. and of course the GridMap.
It will be called "The Other GridMap", because I am very uncreative.

I will try to continously work on the map.

Also if you have a name recommendation, let me know.

update 17th July 2021: I replaced the old parkinglot with a new one that
will include a truckstop and a gas station. Also I
got familiar with road editing and put some work into it.
Sidewalk etc. also got imported from gridmap v2.




update 27th february 2022:
Since i somehow lost the original files for some reason, I will put the new pre-version on here soon.

!!! SO FAR FOR THE PRE-VERSION YOU NEED THE GRIDMAP V1 MOD SINCE NOT EVERY FILE IS TRANSFERRED YET !!! Ill leave an update here if thats fixed


Since a crash occurs when loading into the map I took the pre version off.
I will put a pre version on here for everyone who wants to check the map out.

I am trying to get everything that I don't need out of the files but it's harder than you would think. But I'm on it

 

game crashes when i try to load map,i dont think i have any conflict mods

 

hmmm. for me it works fin. I can take a look if there is any files that are not named right. may take a while.

Ok I turned off any mods but that one and indeed it crashed. I think it is a problem with the terrain. It works if you have the legacy version of the GridMap though. At least for me. So it seems to be conflicting with the terrain.

So I took a look at all the objects etc. and noticed that they all (exept the ones I have placed new) have the old file path. Beacause I don't want to do all Object I deleted most of them, since I wanted to place new objects anymway. So that might take a while until I have all the object with their new path. I also had to delete the forest so I have to do all the treework etc. again. But the main Objects I could leave there. The Terrain was a major issue at first, but now I've seemed solve that.
