Im more confused as to why this isn't in the stock game already. By the way what's the aljowen's manifold glow mod? i cant find it.
Um... let's hope you see this but I like your mod but there is one problem, you know how people watch red hot brakes and you see how the brakes light up gradually and heat dissipates gradually instead of just appearing there out of nowhere yup that is what I want
Did you even get the most recent update of it??? Because it literally addressed that. The brake glow is 100% smooth apart from the first start which makes it emissive so it’s visible at night- something that’s necessary. I tried to make it as smooth as possible.
I did see that, but like I just want it to be better than it was, doesn't mean you have to do anything to make it better but I would like the the glow temperatures activation to go down to 550F (287C) --- Post updated --- this is the video I saw that you should or should not look up too also this one
Yes I am aware that this is outdated, yes I read that it'll be fixed after the vertext is done. I'm just letting you know that this breaks the touring car pessima's brakes.
Yes that does make sense because this mod modified the brakes of vehicles. I‘m gonna have to check all brakes of all vehicles again anyways. Thanks for the report though
Inn0centJok3r updated Brake Glow Mod with a new update entry: Massively improved visuals + added support for new cars + fixed the mod Read the rest of this update entry...
if its possible, would it be ok if i edited how long the glow would be on? if yes, what file would i do so in?
The glow depends on the brake temperature. You can’t change that unless you were to change the cooling coef of all brakes.
There is some great car mods that should have the brake glow feature. Thanks again for your work. 94' ETK K-series from LucasBE Cherrier Picnic from LucasBE Ibishu Claria from LJ74 ETK 1300 from OverPower AW Astro from Nekkit Ibishu Chisai from Nekkit Hiroshi Mistral from Kajzer Ibishu Kashira gen1 from Re:Z_IA & CarKiller Ibishu Kashira gen2 from Re:Z_IA & CarKiller Brutto Grander from N0mN0m FPS Trapez from Marf_ ETK W from waboll
Yes, I am offering any modders who want this on their car to have it installed on their car. But I have yet to have someone ask for it. The ETK C-Series may get It tho
We may now add support for your mod to all of our disc-brake-equipped mods @Inn0centJok3r — an excellent new update. Random question, if one were to add support for this mod on their own, would this mod end up as a requirement, or would it remain optional?
Well you could just make this mod a requirement but I would prefer making mods as easy to download as possible without needing others so I’d prefer adding it to each vehicle individually. That means each vehicle that is it’s own mod should get it‘s own models, textures, materials and html files. The Models and materials assigned can just easily be renamed, you can use a find and replace tool when opening the dae in a text editor and replace „innocent_mod“ or wherever i wrote at the beginning and replace it with „innocent_[your vehicle]“. The mesh names and material name for the HTML need to then also be correct in the Jbeam ofc when transferring jbeam code to your car‘s brakes. The file paths for the materials file also should be adjusted And you also have to add the brake glow lua into a lua controller folder That’s all though. the reason for all this renaming is to avoid conflictions between different versions of the brake glow It’s also how it is on the Gavril Vertex if you’re gonna add it to some vehicles, may I get the links to them so I can add them to the supported mods list? And yea, just credit me for the brake glow too then Hope this helped
Hello, Yes, thanks for the instructions. We've integrated this into our Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack, Gavril Barstow F2, and GTG Commons Mod, and will be available in their upcoming versions. They are all on my resources. I will send you a DM prior to release so you can verify if our implementation is up to snuff. Cheers
Hi, I wanted to ask how to reduce the temperature at which the glow begins. I was looking for this in .jbeam files but did not understand, please explain)
