Akshually there is 713 models in total at the very moment. It will increase slightly in the future as I've been making something really cool for quite a while but it's not ready just yet to show it off We've got a certain someone to help us massively with the jbeam for the B1 relatively soon, so hopefully it won't be a year but rather this year
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lowrider hummer? nah thats too unrealistic ice cream truck hummer? (why do i think these things) ambulance hummer? could be wait.... THE MARAUDER?
1. We got that covered already (well... sort of... we do have street race suspension which works similarly) 2. Because it was a cheat code in Test Drive Off Road 2? 3. If it is I haven't seen that yet... 4. Honestly, I don't even know what he (Sithhy) is talking about
No, I know what the Marauder is... I meant that I don't know what Sithhy is talking about. So its a secret from all of us.
maybe a dumb suggestion here but maybe a skin with rough paint around the edges? can be done with a Geometry node in Blender's materials to be baked and exported, I think. EDIT:
This might be a strange question: what is the shiftlogic on the automatic transmissions going to look like? I've been playing with default0.0player's updated automatic transmissions and I'm in love with how realistic they are. Low-speed performance is much improved, and I've found that the realistic locking action on the converters helps offroad. Is there anything similar available for the Brutus (or possibility for an addon mod that makes them compatible)? Pardon me if it's a weird thing to ask.
I hear the last 20% of the work is the hardest to do, but I'm glad the mod is closer to being finished than ever before.
Its not strange... its totally reasonable. So the older style autos are just basic shifting slushboxes... nothing special by any means. They take a while to change up, they take a while to change down, kickdown actually is probably better than on the real ones to be honest... but then again if I added real kickdown delay people would probably get a little annoyed and I do want this thing to be enjoyable to drive... even with the worse parts. Lockup seems to be fairly realistic? I dunno... guess the next time I get a chance to work on it I will have to pay attention. It uses similar TC logic to the D Series, just adjusted for a much larger diameter and much larger torque multiplication (I used real numbers from real Hummers). I know I still need to make a new one for the 6 cyl Cummins swap as that engine runs at such a low speed, the engine is touching redline at about the same RPM the converter is touching stall... so it doesn't really work very well at the moment. We also have a 6 speed DCT, a 10 speed DCT, a CVT, a couple manual options I think, the 4 speed drag auto which I think came out of the D Series as well... The modern 5 speed, basically the Allison trans that came in the H1 Alpha models, I definitely think could use a shift logic rework, as that was an electronically shifted transmission which was MASSIVLY refined compared to the 3 and 4 speed of yesteryear. Yeah... you ain't kiddin. There is still a lot to be done... but it is closer to being done than it ever has been. Plus with my schedule becoming more and more insane by the day, we have brought on a few more hands to help expedite the process as much as possible (and possibly clean up some of the JBeam mess I may have accidently created along the way... whoops)
Yeah... its... weird. Sithhy just stuck it in there one day and I was like, "ehh, sure, why not... more parts is better mod right?" but it didn't really drive super well. So I tuned the gear ratios (well... the bottom and top end ratios) and it honestly isn't "terrible" but it just feels so darn weird to drive. Weirdly it "feels" really slow, but is actually faster than just about every other transmission other than the 10 speed DCT.
