Hello! i have been unsatisfied with the official cars lateley, and dont really know of any good drivers cars that are out there (basically, older sports cars). i know i have been playing beam for 3 years now, but i never really bothered to ask. -MP67
well looks like mr ungrateful paid us a visit how dare the devs have their own ideas for the game and not appeal to your niche
well there's this Mazda cosmo mod https://www.beamng.com/threads/v1-4-released-1968-1972-mazda-cosmo-l10a-l10b.61106/
Have you tried the Bolide? It takes a little while to get used to, but it's super rewarding and fun to drive when you get it. You could also check out the Ibishu Chisai and Blackpool Superlite, both of which were recently updated and are very fun to drive as well.
If you can’t afford a steering wheel or any of that fancy stuff, you can just get a console controller. It’s not the best, but it’s better than keyboard. Also, for the record, I feel like everyone is being a little too toxic to this guy.
Well, for me, the Wendover is, still, THE BEST driving car on BeamNg. It is a bit heavy, I know, but it has tons of grip, and is pretty low and wide. Just use race suspension and tires and you"ll have a car that drives better than than the SBR and K-Series by a good margin. Although I never tested on keyboard.
On keyboard probably the Sunburst drives the best. I often use the keyboard because the wheel is annoying to have plugged while modding. Ironically some cars are way easier to control on the keyboard than with the wheel, especially high powered RWD "muscle" cars (Moonhawk, Barstow, Bluebuck, Burnside...), but that's just my opinion.
That's his opinion and he is entitled to it. He didn't call the new vehicles 'unsatisfactory' he said he was 'unsatisfied'. There's a big difference. So how about you stop taking something that has absolutely nothing to do with you personally. This is the BeamNG forums, not Twitter. While the devs do work very hard, there is now a trend of rabid forum neckbeard warriors like you who lick the devs feet and unleash hell on any and all criticism that anyone gives. People have opinions and while you may disagree, you should respect that. "How dare he have such a dissenting opinion !!!!"
while your argument seems compelling at first, there are some issues: 1. it's not his wish for more "driver cars" that puts me off, it's his lack of gratefulness towards the ones already added. 2. you're right, it is the beamng forums and not twitter, so go take your "i am right and you are wrong" elsewhere. 3. that is not how i think about all opinions related to beamng faltering. if it's something like "the beam structure of this needs work" or "why is this city a single mesh" then i'll leave it. if it's "it's not what i want so i will brush it off as unsatisfactory" then i have a problem. 4. i will admit my first argument had its issues as well, but at least respect the devs for what they do. yes, they will trip up here and there, and nothing is perfect, but you can still have appreciation for their work.
both satsumas, miramar, SBR4, almost all of urbanmaid's cars. You dont want meshslaps as they rarely resemble how the IRL cars drive. My best suggestion is to try out new controlling methods before complaining about how the cars handle
some of the more powerful cars like the bolide tend to oversteer, overwhelming players who haven't come to be able to counter it
On Controller the sunburst, for me is one of the worst driving cars. The tracks are too narrow and it is too top heavy. If you put racing tires to handle higher power outputs, it tends to rollover. The vivace also has this tendency, but it is less prominent .
That's not it, it's because you don't have control over the throttle, it's on or off wich means you cant gradually apply it while exiting corners.
Tbh buy a cheap controller. A ton of cars are way more fun then. The 200bx is a lovely rwd sports car. The Miramar GTZ is also great to drive. The bolide is the best handling car period. For mods idk. The ae86 mod In The forums is great. Scrounge up 20 bucks and buy this controller and then learn throttle control and learn to not just go full steering lock and understeer. You can hear when the front tires are on the edge of their grip. I usually play with a controller and actually I’m way faster on controller than I am with my wheel. Game like this is nicer with a controller anyways. Since you often use the keyboard and mouse to navigate. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-940...t=&hvlocphy=9029924&hvtargid=pla-329121721635 --- Post updated --- The controller is literally 20 bucks or 16 if you buy I refurbished one. If you love playing this game I’m sure you can spare 20 bucks to improve your driving experience a ton. Some places you can even find the controller for 10 dollars. It’s good quality to.
