Yeah. This forum doesn't have google docs integration though AFAIK.

    AMD Athlon II 64 X4 630 @ 3.29 GHz (OC'd from 2.8GHz) with 6 Gigabytes of Kingston Hyper X DDr2 Ram. GPU (though it shouldn't matter) is an XFX Radeon 7770 @ 1080 mhz and 1gb of GDDR5 @ 1245 mhz.

I followed and the instructions and got the following results:

Gavril D15 Physics ON Physics OFF------------------------Bruckell Moonhawk Physics ON Physics OFF

    1: 135 fps --------170 fps -------------------------------------------1: 71 fps------138 fps

    2: 78 fps----------94 fps----------------------------------------------2: 24 fps----- 76 fps

    3: 31 fps----------66 fps

    4: 18 fps----------51 fps

    5: 14 fps-------- 42 fps

i don't get why but my C2Q q6600 2.4ghz has really really really bad performance!!

    Gavril D series Default 1car:23fps

    Moonhawk default: 1car: 14fps

    Ibishu Covet 1car: 32fps

    does NVidia PhysX matter?

surely I can get better fps than that!!

it may be because its DELL!!! based (Dell dimension e520)

or it could be cause I have only 3gb ram

or it could be cause I have an asus NVidia Geforce 210 (Worst dedicated graphics I know of)

You can't get better fps than that with that PC.

PhysX is a physics engine, not used in BeamNG so really doesn't matter.
Manufacturer doesn't make any difference to performance, they don't make anything except the case, all the other parts are off the shelf from whoever so that doesn't matter either.

The reason for low performance is because your machine is genuinely terrible.

Since I have such an old Computer it really isnt worth putting in the numbers for now since I am outclassed on power and performance here..

I am good with 40fps which is alright for me...

I beg to differ, every result is worth submitting, even if it was a single core Pentium 4 or Athlon XP.

I didn't see this post earlier but you also have to note that my Q6600 is 7 years old and has been used constantly for those 7 years. And the 2.4 GHz may have something to do with it also.

is there any thing I can do to the system or should I just scrap it and move onto a sandy bridge platform or haswell?

    - - - Updated - - -

Trust me that's actually pretty damn good ! what kind of specs have you got to get that fps

Sandy bridge is 2nd gen, haswell is 4th, you kinda skipped ivy bridge in the middle :p
The Sandy bridge CPU socket is a different type than Ivy Bridge/Haswell and is now discontinued so I wouldnt look there. If you are going to build a new intel system, build a haswell one. You;re current CPU uses a socket predating Sandy bridge too so you dont really have the option of upgrading just your CPU without also doing a motherboard replacement.

Intel have just launched a new Devils Canyon (haswell refresh) Pentium processor that looks like a damn good option for budget builders. The G3258, its socket 1150 so can be exchanged for any other current Haswell chip. £53, dual core 3.0 ghz without hyperthreading so is not the most powerful chip ever but can run at a stable 4.8ghz overclock on air cooling alone. With only 2 cores and hyperthreading its still not going to be the highest end machine in the world, but its still going to have some bitching single thread performance for just £53 and you always have the rest of the i5/i7 lineup as an upgrade path. BeamNG would certainly appreciate the extra cores of the i5/i7, but I reckon its a good budget intel option otherwise.

I did on my old netbook:

1.6GHz Atom, 1GB of RAM, some shitty Intel GPU. (It's a Toshiba. I still have it, just no screen or HDD.)

Well I did the test with my i5-4670K clocked at 3.4GHz.

I was a bit lazy to redo the last two, as I forgot while initially testing that I also had to spawn in multiple vehicles.:p
My i5-4670K did worse than I expected it to, is it because of something to do with the i7-4770K having better hyperthreading or something?

They get old damn fast. Mines 2 or 3 years old, pretty outdated (but was a budge build at the time). AMD athlon 2 x3 at 3.4ghz, 4gb RAM and an Nvidia GTX460. Switching for an Intel 4670k or 4690k mini itx build ASAP (will retain the gtx460 for now, can't afford to replace that too).

Oh, the devils canyon pentium chip was just a general mentioning of its existence to everyone, not a part I am recommending specifically for you personally. Still, if you are budget restricted it could be an option. You won't get many bemg vehicles on it though due to only having the 2 cores without option of hyperthreading.

They do get old eventually, but I wouldn't call that pace 'damn fast'. Crappy performance of both previous and current generation consoles slowed it down considerably. Plus, if you choose your parts cautiously you can prolong it's lifetime by making easy upgrades.

In my case the current PC is the longest living setup since the Commodore 128 I got in 1987. I bought the current mobo, DDR2 RAM, HDDs, PSUs and the case back in 2008. Since then I've swapped the unoverclockable Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition (sic!) for an Athlon II X2 250 which I ran @3,75 GHz, then for a Phenom II X6 1055T @3,5 GHz and then for a 1100T Black Edition I currently run @4,0 GHz. The first graphics cards was a Radeon HD3870X2 which was replaced in sequence by HD4890, HD5870 and now HD7970. HDDs still work just fine, but they are used only as data storage now as systems are loaded from Samsung 840 Pro SSDs I've bought recently. Oh, and I've doubled the RAM amount last month, so now it's perfectly comfy 8 GB.

So you see, an almost seven year old rig, with a little effort from myself, is still standing strong as the third fastest AMD setup in BANANA Benchmark, going neck and neck with overclocked i5-3570s. Not too shabby for my taste :).

It should be fine that pentuim but I think its slightly weird how theres the Devils Canyon Pentuim and the old P4s as well
single core performance is handy in a lot of things and the overclock is kind of insane, im going to recycle some parts (PSU, HDD Not the GFX!)
might upgrade to a core i5 though depends on how much they are for now it looks like im going to hit the pentuim head on! :)
