Update Speculation thread

As Agent_Y already said, it's probably meant more as a tribute to the actual real life Willys Jeep than to a previous generation Hopper. Speaking of interesting things hidden in car descriptions, the D15 Custom Classic description says something about previous generations of the D-series, but that just confirms their existence in the BeamVerse.

 

I'll just get this out of the way first on the pictures I'm posting about, if this is a mod please feel free to correct me. Now with that out of the way on to the speculation, as I was driving through the recently resurrected Las Colinilas de Vapor I made a stop at the added dealership and as I pulled in I spotted this guy. Never seen it before and I recognized the others as a few barstow's, a roamer, and a sunburst, but this buggy(maybe the wigeon?) was new so is it a car buried in the files or am I being dumb and its just a mod I don't know about.

 

Firstly you're playing on a modded map so that answers one question if it's a mod or not.
Second it's DrowsySam's DSC Scarab but covered up. Also a mod

 

Ok, thanks for the info. I was aware the map was a mod, but it was the car I was wondering about so now that the question has been answered I can write that off as not new content but just a mod car.

PBR has been confirmed multiple times on Discord

 

None of the devs have said so. The one 'moderator said so' is by confused deer who even said himself here that he did not confirm it, it was taken out of context.

 

I think it was confirmed by a dev though, some time after it was "confirmed" by Confused.

 

I have not seen any official dev post saying it is coming. There was a dev post here talking about wanting gi in the game but thats it. If you do know of that post do share

Imma say this aight my bruuhs, if there no pbr coming in the next one then due to all the hype in here itd be nice if the devs stopped by and said it wont. Also, thatll mean imma take it like a man and cry alot.

Upside nonetheless is that it atleast looks like the T-series err getting some badass updated wheels.

 

Relax guys, my original comment about PBR was based off the T series' tires pic that Tdev posted, there is no official confirmation except that picture to my knowledge.

We can all agree that some form of graphical update is happening but exactly what and for when is yet to be confirmed officially.

ANYONE WHO IS SMART ENOUGH WITH COMPUTERS KNOWS PBR WHEN THEY LOOK AT IT

 

Also remember that if PBR wasn't coming the devs would have probably said so by now like they always do when speculation goes too far.
