Unless this has a Pick-up and Van version then no. Also, the Pigeon actually looks newer than the Widgeon.
The D-series and Roamer were in one slot early on, the Pigeon and Wedgeon might be the same for some time.
We can't really say anything about the Pigeon's model years... Since this seems to at least borrow bits from the Pigeon or be a full on derivative, it's probably going to be a LeGran/Wendover situation. Which means at that time the Pigeon may get facelift options, and IRL counterparts have model years all over the place.
Dunno, seems like too good an opportunity to do just a Legran-Wendover thing, as those two are barely related with the exception of powertrain.
This is the most flabbergasted and excited i have been about an update since i first saw a vivace teaser- but the vivace didn't make me laugh. This does. This, this gives me a childhood sense of glee i haven't seen in a long time. I love it.
I don’t see them being put in the same vehicle selector, bodies and probably other things are different. D Series and Roamer did share a vehicle selector, but seeing as the roamer got its own I don’t see them doing the same with the Wigeon
I love it! Although, the only disappointment is the fact that is Ibishu branded, whilst it could have been a weird American-British collaboration (It does take those design styles from Citicar, which is an American electric car from 1970s and Bond Bug, which is a British wedge micro-car from the same period) that could have brought at least a new brand or/and country to the existent vehicle roster. Hopefully, developers will change it, as just by changing the name and designing the logo, you could turn this into a British car, especially as it is already left-hand drive.
It certainly doesn't share the same current frame. I suppose it could share the back 2/3 of the frame, but that isn't enough to justify them sharing a vehicle selector space. Even if it does share the back 2/3 of the frame, suspension, and engine, that isn't really any more similar than the LeGran/Wendover is from a construction standpoint. To me that doesn't seem enough to justify them sharing a vehicle selector space.
Sorry Sitthy, but everything from the general shape to the fully plastic doors to the headlights to the hood scoop are all Bond Bug. The only Citicar like thing is the four wheeledness.
So I'm actually hoping the wigeon doesn't end up being electric. A 550cc engine would make more sense (the vent on the hood is probably bigger than it is on the citicar because it needs some kind of air intake). It could actually be pretty sporty depending on the suspension, I'll bet the turning circle is like 2 meters at most
It will most likely be sharing drivetrain parts with the Pigeon, so the petrol & diesel engines are pretty much a sealed deal. I'd love for it to have an electric motor, even if it would be 10hp (or so) by default, but something tells me they won't include one... but I hope the diesel I3 will get a 5-speed transmission, as it's lacking one really badly
That would mean it gets a 700cc gasoline engine, but as it looks smaller than the Pigeon, something tells me it would otherwise qualify as a kei car
I really think that they might be trying to make this a kei car, especially as it's clearly a JDM version, which makes me wonder if there's a Japanese map in the works as it's the only place something like this would make sense.
