Because the game is a constantly active project and it's like a giant beta test.

Not really. Pretty much everything they release at this point is a finished product.

If this was the case then no remasters and improvements would be needed, and they constantly do them.

I don't know how possible this is, but what about dual screen? Basically, I want one monitor to be the view from the driver's seat, the other the passenger. I've tried manually extending it, but everything seems all refracted. Is this possible?

So you think they're going to constantly do remasters indefinitely? They have a new standard they've set. The new cars and maps are already at that standard, they're only updating cars that are 5 years old. Everything they've been releasing for the past year or two is pretty much final.
Why not just do surround on the two and move the camera position?

Enable surround and move the camera? Can't really explain it more than that.

Then the middle is between these monitors, you can manually move the camera but then it's not really something you will use, it's really worth getting 3rd screen I actually sold my vr because Beam has 90% of my simracing playtime and it unfortunately don't support vr yet.

    *On topic*
triple screen option looks better but frame rate is 30% lower for me so I'm still using Nvidia surround thought the last update fixed weird shading for me

I had a quick testie with 3 screens that somehow has ended up on my desk.

GTX 1080 is not even near powerful enough for triple screens in BeamNG

Assetto Corsa on triple screens is not pushing even clock speed of GPU to maximum.

Euro Truck simulator 2 is not maxing out GPU either and I have it set to 400% so it is kinda 3x 4k instead of 3x 1080p

So FPS in BeamNG 3x is only 30% of BeamNG 1080p, while in other two tested games there is not huge difference between 3x or 1080p

Playing at highest graphics settings is 40fps or less for me in BeamNG triple screens, while single screen is 120fps.

So, I guess that RTX 3080 would be needed to keep fps at 60fps, not sure if that is going to change or if way maps are build will always require so much more computing power.

Do you mean with the triple screen projection enabled? BeamNG run as a flat image in triples isn't too bad, but the projection definitely hurts the framerate. I haven't tried it yet, have they actually fixed it?
As to comparisons, AC in triples for me runs pretty awful with super long lag spikes and screen tearing despite claiming high FPS. Eventually just stopped playing it.

I did try without projection and with projection, only difference was that with projection car did look more normal, without projection dashboard did look weird.

With gtx1080 I can play with triple screen setup in BeamNG when I set graphics to low and disable shadows and all post processing effects, like ssao etc. Then barely 60fps at Chinatown spawn, GPU doing 200W

Single screen 1080p and I was looking at 56W or so, then cranked to ultra details and saw 100W GPU power use.

In AC it is just nice and smooth 60fps with vsync on, don't care about input lag so much, GPU hardly ever reaches to 100W.

All driving alone, although I did test with traffic and I get drops to 57fps with triples, but overall it is really nice.

Especially I did like how you can adjust left and right panel to different angles if for some odd reason you need to.

Not sure of math involved etc. I did measure distance from eyes to screen and put that in, but in Assetto Corsa I find there is more adjustments and setting screen width, distance and angles of side screens it all just came together bit nicer, but still in Beam triple screen gives much when driving like one would IRL for faster driving, I think that my FOV is not setting quite right yet.

Not sure about bezels either, might be that ultra wide monitor would be nicer than triples as those black vertical panes are in annoying position, so might turn into single ultra wide instead.

Only real issue that I had was that my GPU was not fast enough, but also had to keep so low graphics settings that there really wasn't too much on screens either, maybe with faster GPU more issues would come up.

So it's been a minute since the last post on this and just bought the game today hoping maybe this had been resolved. However, it seems it has not. The triple screen is not correct as it is showing 21:9 (Running triple 1440p monitors) which is incorrect and the screen just looks terrible. Any word on this getting fixed any time soon?

Nope. It's never worked, they acknowledged it as broken, and haven't said anything since. That was about a year ago and I don't know why they don't just remove it.

I disagree that it should be removed! Sure, there's a few bugs and the performance isn't great, but even with it buggy, it's the way I play Beam NG since the full FOV adds so much to the experiece.

The main issue is getting it set up every session, I have to run the game windowed and drag it to fill the 3 screens. The performance certainly isn't great, only 60fps with a 5900X and 5700XT at 1080p triple without maxed GPU, when it's 120fps+ on a single, but I guess this will be OK once the Vulkan renderer is in place properly.

It doesn't work at all. It's completely broken. And you could always set it up to span 3 monitors and change the FOV, with a higher framerate. There currently is zero reason for this to exist if they aren't going to fix it.

Does this work yet? No mention of it in the patch notes.

So this still doesn't work and I still question why it was brought it up at all. It's been a year and a half with no word on it and I still feel like it would be better to just remove this feature because it's literally unusable.
@tdev The last you mentioned of this was December of last year and said it would be fixed in the next update.

As an aside, I got posts removed in the update speculation thread for "begging" when all I said is I wanted some semblance of what's being worked on. This is the last post mode on the forum about a game update, and it's a still broken feature from a year and a half ago. Put a real bad taste in my mouth. I guess I'm supposed to use twitter, which I don't have and don't want, read through dozens of pointless "update speculation" posts, or just know that an update release window has been skipped since nothing is being said through the forum. Being told that I'm "begging" when the last I've heard was a broken feature from a year and a half ago sucks and pissed me off.

Are you sure it wasn't deleted with other comments ? If that's the case the mods will give the same reason for anywone, so if you responded to someone who begged it will say that.

I don't know. Still, I'm annoyed by the whole situation. All I really want is some clarity and for the stuff they post on Twitter to also be posted on the forum like they used to do. Could've just done an announcement saying "Hey, it's late, here's the next release date we're aiming for."
