On the topic of Spanish-speaking countries, we actually don’t have any Mexican/central/South American maps that I know of, so that would be something interesting to see, even though it probably isn’t considered a top priority right now

 

The Gendarmerie Sunburst has been done in honor of the people killed in terrorist attacks and the Vivace has the skin just because it´s French. They most probably won´t do a French map, as it would be too similar to Italy. If the Vivace was British, it would probably have a British police skin.

 

There is a lot more to France than its Mediterranean coast.

By that logic, the Sunburst and 200BX would have Japanese police skins because they're Japanese.

How big the possibility is for the race track placed in Italy to be part of Bolide Remaster? Like come on,

How wouldn't be blessed if we had super macchina da corsa and race track in the country where the Bolide was born?​

 

Where could it be placed, though? There's no space on the main island, maybe like another one connected to the main island with a bridge? That'd be really unrealistic and unreasonable.

 

The 200BX and Sunburst were introduced in the game a long time ago, unlike the Vivace. The Wendover, even though it´s a very unlikely car to be used by the police, has it´s police skin too.

Am i the only ones that thinks we need larger maps, not more? I bet even the devs would like to make one, imagine a 64x64 map that combines the assets of the current us maps for one large maps with biomes like states...

 

the possibility of that ever happening relies on the ability of the devs to add terrain tiling in this game.
when beamng will be able to handle multiple terrain tiling we will see a lot of bigger maps.

and i really hope we will see something like this one day.

 

The game gets buggier and buggier the farther from the middle you get. About 30 km from the middle, your car starts shaking, even though just visually. I think that maps bigger than 24x24 km will never be made by the devs, as the game isn´t really capable of handling it.

 

I, personally, am waiting for a map set in Finland. A lot of dirt/gravel roads through forests & all that jazz. One thing that such a map might bring with it to the game is better handling on loose surfaces, like the aforementioned dirt/gravel, sand etc.

 

I personally think/hope we will get:
1: Finland
2: Japan
3: Some type of desert map, possibly Australia?
4: Germany (ETK remaster?)
5: Eastern Europe

 

Finland aka snow map probably should have even changed snowing and raining. Imo the current weather system (which is important as it affects vehicles a lot) is a way behind almost everything or at least snowing and rain.

 

Definitely any sort of map with snow outside of Automation. Next map should involve deserts. maybe Nevada, New mexico, or Arizona. The Australian outback would be great too. But whatever map they go for it should tie into the games story somewhat.



Utah has deserts so technically the Desert biome niche is already filled.

 

i just want a barstow and bolide remaster tbh

 

as far as actual evidence for possible maps goes:
-the unused fishing village mesh in JRI suggests a japanese map
-the various french police cars (though as softair said, that doesn't necessarily point to a map
-the possibility of ETKDEC being remade into a larger germany map, or having a new map alongside it (similar to hirochi raceway/ECA)
and as far as map experiments from developers:
-b25mitch has done various environment studies of his local area (around Brisbane, Australia) including mount glorious, mount coot-tha, and lakeside park raceway.
-Jalkku made "rallymap", a take on a Finnish rally stage.
-doulpepper made "altitude", set in the (probably french?) Alps.
all 3 of these last locations could be developed quite well into a 4x4km vanilla map of their own.

 

Barstow mainly needs smaller bumpers and more content. it was one of the best quality official vehicles when it came out back in October 2015. More differences in model years (facelifts that get worse and worse) and specialty tuner variants that are great for the end of career would be nice. Muscle cars were well known for their specialty variants that are basically car collector bait.

The Grand Marshall needs its final remaster (Better models/textures, Station wagon, Facelift, more wheels, etc) as well as the H Series. it seems like with the maps that these Vehicle remasters are happening in the background like what was happening with maps (I think the remastering started around the time Italy came out). Mind you these vehicles were always being worked on in the background, it was just the fact that we haven't seen too much major visual changes.

 

There are French signs on Altitude, so it is probably set in France or Switzerland.

 

Changes are, by th time the developers come arround to it, there will be a speed limit in germany.

Nobody can tell for certain of course, but political climate for one has never been better.

• The largest german manufacturer, the Volkswagen Group is in dire need of selling EVs. What makes EVs more attractive? A general speed limit that reduces the range difference between EVs and ICEs at highway speeds. Speeding was always expensive since air resistance increases 4 times for any 2 times increase in speed, but for all their piss poor efficiency, ICEs could reasonable live with that because a 50 L tank of fuel contains the equivalent of a 433 kW/h (Petrol) or 489 kW/h (Diesel). So even at the lousy expected 30 % efficiency you had an "battery" with 130 kW/h (Petrol) or 146 kW/h (Diesel) to draw from. So unlike in the past where they strongly opposed it, changes are that they - not so loudly - support it.
  
• The is a slight majority for one in the general population. Changes are, once it has happened, many of people opposing it now, will change their mind, realizing that short sprints of higher speeds (more isnt possible in most cases due to traffic amount) do in fact a crap job at increasing the average speed and as such travel time. You need to race like a madman to be notable faster than someone driving a constant 130 km/h. And 1 or 2 bad traffic lights can wipe that advantage into nonexistance. Several german automagazines and shows have repeatedly tried that... it simple isnt worth it. Much higher fuel consumption, hundred times the risk.... for a an advantage measured in minutes, not in hours.

Most likely ports and airports (and in case of some maps, Highways) would work similar to say what happens in TDU2. it would transport you to another level and would be separated by a custom loading screen to simulate travel.
