Very well. For reasons which are still under investigation, organic decay is occuring at a drastically reduced rate in and around the Pripyat area. Something to do with bacteria being killed by the radiation and ecosystem generally being trashed.

 

Cheers. It is weird the climate there. The acid in the rain there is apparently very high. Don't know why though.

There is a movie called "Chernobyl Diaries" that obviously is set in Chernobyl. I think it was a decent movie.

Creepy...

 

If you've got an hour to kill than you may want to check out this documentary. I saw it a wile back and it was pretty interesting, it talks about the wild life (particularly wolves) that now resides at Chernobyl. It is really cool and kinda creepy to see how the place looks 30 years later, and it is interesting to see how nature is taking back the city.

 

anyone who knows any other movies about chernobyl besides chernobyl diares ?(ive seen it so many times, great movie)

 

Supposed to be quite a few abandoned Mil-Mi26's in the area too. Worlds largest production helicopter, tons of them were used in the disaster cleanup and contaminated, for whatever reason it was decided to abandon them rather than retrieve and decontaminate them. Only 316 of them globally.

Those links are amazing. SO MANY PICTURES. So saddening to see kindergarten kids. I am not aware of any other movies on Chernobyl.
