This interior looks really awesome, probably one of the best of the game. I love it, this is hyping me a lot Look at these AC vents or these doors ! it's incredible
Digidash!!! Looks like an awkward combination of 70's and 80's, so my guess is the Wendover started production in the early to mid-80's rather than the late 80's as I had initially suspected The question now is, will there be a non-digidash option?
Makes sense to have the most detailed interior as it's technically the longest worked on vehicle in the game (aside from remastered cars). It's awesome!
If it would be added as official content couldn't they just make a graphics setting to enable/disable street lights, similar to how enabling/disabling dynamic reflection works? To me it doesn't seem like making such a setting would be that hard, so "increased lag" doesn't seem like a good reason to not add street lights. (I'm sure there's several other reasons for not adding street lights (yet), but I don't feel like "it increases lag on lower-end devices" is a good main argument for not doing it).
Definetly looks more late 80s than early 80s (which were closer to 70's in style) Seems closer to the 87 Bonnevile in style The Olds 88 and Buick Lesabre were much more boxy looking. It does look more or less of their own design but it does make sense to take cues from multiple sources as designing from scratch would take more time.
To add onto this post, what I'm assuming is the radio that's on the lower half of the dash in the new Wendover, is very similar to the 1988-89 Buick Reatta's radio / early infotainment center.
That looks amazing! I love digital dashes. As for its overall shape, it reminds me a bit of the Buick Reatta. Even the steering wheel looks similar.
I can definitely see the airbag steering wheel coming from the Buick airbag wheels of the early 90s, but, that two tier dash seems unique, at least as far as I know. I don't know of an 80s car with a dash quite like that. So unlike the LeGran which was nearly a 1 to 1 realistic recreation of a GM A-Body interior, this seems pretty unique at least so far. I guess the big airbag wheel confirms the Wendover as being a late 80s-early 90s model as well.
Love the idea of lights, especially with this beautiful interior, but I think the light for assets and changes for the environment (like retexturing) will come later after finishing the driving physics, tyre physics, career, etc... I feel like the later updates of tyre physics (wear and temperature) could come out with new weather most likely.
