In my humble opinion, this thread should never die, hahaha. With that said, I am very excited about the LeGran Wagon. I can't wait until having one in green as my default, since my real life car is a green wagon, hahahaha. Also, I wonder if they plan to make turbocharged versions of the LeGran's inline 4 engines in the future. I say this because these engines remind me of the Chrylser K powerplants, which could be equipped with turbos in the 80s and the 90s.

While I find it unlikely, i think there's the possibility that the LeGran got the Cherrier FCV treatment- with an entire platform listed in the vehicle selector rather than just one model.

I found these textures in the common folder:
    bruckell_engine_d.png bruckell_mechanical_d.png
They are named "bruckell_engine" and "bruckell_mechanical" respectively, and were added in 0.21.
Neither the current LeGran nor the Moonhawk currently use these textures, but it's pretty obvious that the Wendover and remastered LeGran will when they come out, as it's been confirmed for years that they'll share an engine.

What's interesting is that there doesn't seem to be a Bruckell badge anywhere in the texture, which means the new engine model may not have the badge on the oil cap like it does now.

I have a feeling that the devs "accidentally" leave pre-release stuff hidden in the game files for us to find...

America was not doing great in the 80s, probably meaning that automakers would not put unnecessary engines in their crapboxes, or even produce engines for only a specific car, hence the reason the Sport model just has a supercharger instead of a larger V6. Although, the S V6 uses a special engine only used by that trim level. My guess is those textures are going to replace the current ones. Also, a logo on an oil cap is pretty much impossible to find, even on cars from the 80s, so I don't know why that is there.

Maybe there will be another set of textures since Bruckell and Soliad might have the same engine, but different badges on the valve cover or smth.

No, those are just lighter coloured metal parts. Most likely exhaust related

I wouldn't discount the possibility of a small V8. Cadillac's "HT" series V8 (4.1/4.5/4.9) was designed for one specific purpose: to be able to fit in a small (er), transverse-FWD platform. That manifested itself in the 1985 C Bodies (DeVille, Park Avenue, 98) as well as the 86 Seville and Eldorado. All of this was planned in 1979-1980 when fuel was the most expensive it had ever been and with GM's new CEO being obsessed with going all in on FWD (fun fact, the Camaro/Firebird was even planned on FWD in the late 80s, but was cancelled). Of course by 85 gas was cheap again, which is the only reason the full size B.O.F models stayed around, they planned to cancel them.

Given the HT4100's legend as one of the worst engines ever made, it would be fun if a "head gasket failure" mechanic would be introduced.

Also, someone a couple pages ago asked about the Wendover being given an AWD option- that's not happening. The few American, FWD cars converted to AWD (Pontiac 6000, Ford Tempo, Chrysler minivans) all had a beam rear axle which was converted to a live rear axle. The Wendover, like it's real life counterparts have IRS, and I could be wrong but I'm not aware of any domestic FWD cars with IRS that had an AWD conversion, at least in the late 80s-early 90s era. It also makes little sense with a coupe compared to a wagon or sedan.

As long as we're talking about the Bruckells, I've been thinking about those demolition derby skins being added to the Legran.

I wonder if similar skins are going to show up on other vehicles. One thing I'm going to watch closely is the travel trailer.

    screenshot_2021-03-11_00-08-47.png

The Legran SE V6 towing package and the travel trailer have been joined at the hip since they were teased in advance of the 0.8.0 update. With parts of the travel trailer recently having been made colourable, could BeamNG be planning to introduce trailer racing?

    wait what theyre colorable
Good point, how those 2 are always together and have many connections. But I don't think they would add trailer racing when normal racing doesn't exist yet. I'm not sure what it could be, and there isn't much more that I can think of other than trailer racing.

What is everyone's thoughts about the new walking mode that was teased? I quite like it, it reminds me of Rigs Of Rods.
