this is kind of a 1985 D series all over again. the Chevy Celebrity and Olds Cutlass, and the Aries/Reliant, short of having slightly sharper edges on the taillights, are very close in styling to the LeGran, and they were released in '82 and '81 respectively. Another thing to note is that the very rear bodywork is separated into a "tailcone" in the mesh (and always has been), suggesting they might add a different set of taillights as well, perhaps even with a different trunk lid.
I'm not sure if we see this update all "derby-able" cars with new modifications, because that would make a lot of work to do imo as there are about 75% cars with these configs. But I think we can say that Soliad gets similiar configs and that makes new 3-4 derby configs (depends if soliad has also wagon version). Btw Moonhawk bumper (maybe other parts too?), new legran parts and body, and of course soliad makes nice fusion for custom customization. Im rly looking for this update
So the wagon is basically confirmed for the incoming update as are proper derby mods. Hopefully that means a relocated fuel cell. And a refreshed version of the LeGran probably means a full remaster. What are the odds that the Wendover is released in this update? There will be no Wendover wagon. It's based off of the H and E body GMs, which were coupes and sedans only and the devs said it will just be a Coupe (which leaves no provisions for a wagon). Also, there was never a fullsize wagon that was transverse FWD (the GM A bodies and Taurus/Sable were midsizers) In due time the Moonhawk needs more configs, including a middle engine option (small V8 under 310ci). Although coupes were popular in the 1970s, it's unusual that there is no sedan or wagon. You could even have a Ute. --- Post updated --- Well, the Cutlass Ciera/Century was sold through the 1996 MY. GM intended for the W body (Grand Prix/Regal/Lumina) to compete with the Taurus and replace the aging A-bodies (themselves lengthened versions of the 1980 X-cars). But the W body program was crazy expensive and GM foolishly released them in 1988 as coupes only, no sedans..... in a market where coupes were dying and sedans were popular as ever. The A body development and tooling had long since been amortized so GM kept building them to augment the somewhat unprofitable W bodies, which finally got sedans in 1990. I was hoping the Wendover would be inspired by the Grand Prix, which could be optioned with a high-revving 4 and a turbocharged V6, but it's obvious that it's taking the H/E body route, which probably means a transverse V8.
Not that I know of, but some of your mods could be playing with the game's inner workings. Considering almost nothing has happened with the bus since it came out in 2017, I don't think anything is changing anytime soon.
We went so far off topic that the devs were forced to put together a car with parts from other cars quickly to get us back on topic. /s
I've been looking through GM's lineup throughout the years, and I've realized several things: (This is based on my own findings of the different cars of GM, and could be wrong) The Bruckell Moonhawk seems to best represent GM's A Platform (1936 - 1981). It looks the most like a third gen Chevy Chevelle. The Bruckell Legran with the new facia best represents GM's A Platform (1982 - 1996). It looks the most like a late fifth gen Oldsmobile Cutlass. The Soliad Wendover best represents either GM's E body or W body. It looks the most like a seventh gen Buick Riviera (E Body) or a third gen Buick Regal (W Body). ***THIS IS BASED ON WHAT I'VE FOUND ABOUT THE REAL WORLD CARS OF GM AND IS MY OWN SPECULATION OF WHAT COULD BE*** IF the Wendover is based on the W Body, and the Moonhawk is based on the A Platform, there is a POSSIBILITY that the Moonhawk and the Wendover could be the same car but just from different companies, as there have been cars sold from one of GM's subsidiaries that used the A Platform in the 70s and the W platform in the 80s. Basically what I'm saying is that IF THE DEVS WANTED TO they could have Bruckell and Soliad produce a "Moonhawk" from 1973 - 1978, and that "Moonhawk" could then become a "Wendover" in the 80s.
I could be wrong but the rear window pillars look thinner than in the derby picture. I guess its the same body but they tweaked it?
The Wendover is a full-size model. More realistically, the Wendover and Bluebuck/Grand Marshal are related product lineages like the Bonneville and Impala; the Wendover moved to FWD while the Marshal stayed RWD.
Bruckell Road Cruiser or something like that. According to the wiki, Gavril's subsidiary is Burnside, not Bruckell.
Wiki is fan-made and deprecated. Looking at the Grand Marshal and D-series, they have more in common with GM products than with Ford or Chrysler models. Both the LeGran and Wendover are clearly based on GM models as well. --- Post updated --- ok but I've updated my posts with a better argument for BeamNGM. I'm looking at whole models, not just parts
I'm not literally saying "Bruckell is Oldsmobile" because that would be stupid, just that the currently existing American marques have more in common with brands that are related in real life. Plus if the separate-Gavril theory is true, then the Bruckell/Soliad group has no entry-level offering.
