I do also think a more realistic car crusher would be nice (I know there used to be some modded ones but I think those are all outdated now)
The barrel is the prop I'd most like to see get a full remaster - the Jbeam leaves a few things to be desired, and trying to stack them into walls or pyramids is really difficult at the moment because they often fall through each other. Getting a few different 'loads' and skins for them would be nice too. Blue-sky speculation would be that they eventually get tops that pop off with enough force, and a 'splash' effect like what we've got for gas tanks. I think that props are eventually going to get an overhaul, at least for textures if nothing else, but we haven't seen any signs pointing in that direction. Props aren't something the community generally gets excited about, especially when compared to maps or vehicles. I think that if we do get a more realistic car crusher (and it's one of the things I'd be surprised to not see developed between now and a full release), it'll be the mobile 'pancake' style car crusher - that way, we get both the crusher and an extra trailer for the T-series.
yes i will love a top down car crusher also. ATM I use the large steel box and make it heave and large and drop it on cars
A mobile crusher trailer would be nice. I do also like your idea about the barrels, and even though I'm not sure about that being added officially anytime soon since props are not the devs' top priority, I do think that would actually make a really cool mod. Staying on the subject of props, more variety of them would be good as well, such as what I mention in my post in vehicle suggestions (I put it ther since I wasn't sure where else to post it) https://www.beamng.com/threads/vehicle-suggestions-see-first-post.79/page-596#post-1289477
You are trying to tell me the barrell is fine the way it is with its extremely buggy physics that glitches out more often than not? And also the gate with its messed up breakgroups that causes it to usually just fall off rather than open normally? And all the props with placeholder textures and no config thumbnails are fine too?
its already revamped? oh --- Post updated --- some clues say the wendover can use a supercharger. are we getting a sport model?
Probably yeah, almost all cars have sport versions or just faster versions, even the Pigeon, so why not
the problem is, a normal SBR4's rear-engine weight distribution doesn't lend itself to drifting well (being prone to snap oversteer). However, the eSBR is much closer to a 50/50 weight distribution, and the eSBR has had an option for a welded rear diff since launch, meaning they likely have an eSBR Drift config planned.
Oh yeah! I forgot that the barrel is a glitchy mess, but I never knew that the gate had messed up breakgroups.
I found something pretty interesting in the files that could hint to a sequel to A Rocky Start. I found a campaign simply called 'chapter2' and the missions in the campaign do not match those of any other campaign in the game.
There are some "dirtrace" files in the WCUSA folder, a Roamer config and a few opponent .json files, we are probably getting a dirtrace scenario on the dirt track soon.
There are more "secret configs" in the WCUSA folder: But all of them are outdated, at least from before the wheels system update if not older (they have the old wheel names in the pc files). I thnk they were just an early test of some old derby scenario that was never added and the devs just forgot to remove them.
